I want you all to reccomend me all those great arcade games that might be totally underrated or underdog, besides those evident classics that everyone know. and in particular i'm looking for platformers and general beat em ups.

The Dungeon and Dragons games a surprisingly fun. the light RPG elemnts added to them is awesome.

I've been playing a lot of TG16's arcade-ish shmups.

Oh, ones that you can emulate? Uh... IDK. There's something to be said about going to a ROM site and just choosing a game with a cool title. Since it's free, you're not losing anything apart from time. Which is arguably your intention.

they're not fighters or beat-em-ups but fucking play them

thats the small list i am using atm. but there are several, several SHMUPS missing in there.(my lack of Dodonpachi, for example).
