To be honest, it seems kind of interesting, but I am not really that fond of FPS games.
I'm half and half on this

so I guess Bayonetta is made of fucking shit then
or Rent-a-Hero

You really don't know what Rent-a-Hero stands for, do you?
Ah but whatever, SEGA is shitty nowadays, I agree. Back at the Sega Genesis or even the Dreamcast they did such fabulous very underground and indie-like games that didn't sell much but holy balls were fucking awesome and crazy.
Like SEGAGAGA.
Rent-A-Hero is a over-hyped game I believe. Sega being great is past tense, that we both seem to agree on.
At the end of the day who cares much you can customize an average game? FPS are all about controls, and the Wii's control scheme for them isn't very good as you can never relax your hand without effecting aim etc. it won't surpass the dual stick system and it won't be better than the keyboard and mouse combo.
FPS games are not original, never are. They most important things are the controls, and as this is on the Wii the only reason I believe someone would buy this is if all they own is a Wii, and what kind of FPS fan only owns a Wii?

Your always hold the wiimote up, constantly putting a strain on your wrist.
I can find more entertaining ways of doing that...

I don't understand how keyboard and mouse is better than dual sticks. Each to there own I guess.
From what I've heard from people who have played this game though is doesn't sound like it's going to be anything special.

Thanks for confirming your opinion is void on the entire genre.

Metroid Prime 3 has the best controls of any FPS I've played. I wouldn't be surprised if this game is going to be similar in controls to it.

Oh come on, there hasn't been an original FPS since DOOM. You shoot things, they die.
Portal doesn't count as you don't kill things.
I'm just saying that this is being waaaaaaay over-hyped for maybe only a 7/10 game.

tbqh I agree with goemar that thw wiimote is actually terrible for FPSes because of the "can't rest without affecting aiming" thing (unless the game uses the stick to aim and D-Pad to move but that's another story) but I disagree that FPSes aren't original.
That's like saying platformers are unoriginal because you run around and collect things and jump on stuff.
In terms of FPS controls though:
Keyboard + Mouse: Best
Dual Stick: Great
Wiimote Aiming: Awful

In quake can I drag and drop my ammo in the dead center of the screen?
but certainly you could add those two elements into quake and it wouldnt change drastically the gameplay. neither in any FPS. so, its still a FPS, where you can swing your wiimote to throw a grenade and drop your ammo( ? ).
I... wouldn't be so hyped about it.

Yeah, you can't blame the system if developers don't know how to do use it right.
