i'm new, but before submitting...
i read the rules and went here instead...
there are 8 emotions for each pokemon/fakemon (fakemon are a bonus! all are 100% custom made by me)
they are...
anger
happiness
hopefulness
passion
regular
sleeping
sadness
and sorryness
here is my sample (it's not 3d, but vector 2d, so please refrane from asking, ok?) removed by me...
the dimentions are 96x96 pixels
they are lined up in rows of 8
and columns of 8
which is 64 in total per sheet
4 sheets are made so far...
credit must be given if used...
i will post the other 3 when i get feedback,
if this is the wrong section,
please move it for me...
i'd appreciate comments,
but only if they are crostructive critisism... (please no flaming...)
that's all have to say for now...
PRIMAL MORON,
PROUD TO BE STUPID...
note* this is a carbon copy of the one in projects scetion, can someone please lock that? thank you...
Uhh, we don't accept vectors.
Unless they're official sprites, and these aren't.
Wait, we don't accept vectors, do we?
And these look sub-par. The styles differ for each Pokemon, and some of them MIGHT be traced, I'm not entirely sure.
That last one is really really bad, btw.
shouldn't be in sprite discussion

mm.
If these were scaled down, they could arguably be considered sprites produced via a different method; but presently I agree.
That said I'll let this pan out before I do anything with it. I don't see much of a place in Creative for now.
ok, what can i do to make them better?
and what's so bad about vector...?
it's still 2d, it's still a png output, and it can be resized so much easier than other artwork...
i can fix the quality with the mismatched ones...
just tell me what you want me to do, and i'll get it done...
is that ok?
Pixel-by-pixel purists are... touchy about the legitimacy of vector-based work. It's an 'easy way out'. Aside from that, your vector work is rather poor. You shouldn't use gradients as a replacement for shading.
51518 colors.
May want to reduce that a bit, it's really upping your file size.
guys this is sprite discussion, not pixel art discussion. stop being nazis about what a sprite is.
ok, so... what can i do with this?
truth be told, i complied this from my old vectors...
if you want to see better, here...
removed by me...
i'm sorry to ask this, but is vector not welcome here?
You should consider working on those lines. A lot of them have too many angles, for example that black lugia things neck.
Making curves really isn't hard with vectors.
Also, you may want to get rid of the grey outlines of those white stripes.
Anyways, I think the different emotion versind have too less differences.
because it wasn't made by normal means, like Graphics Gale, MS Paint etc. Though, both can be used in a game without problems.
Now, for it to be a 'common' sprite, you should make it by placing pixels and making a limited color palette.
that's ok, if you guys don't want it, you don't have to have it...
thank you, spriter's resource...
you're so supportive...
almost all (but not all) of you seem to just hate vector...
the rest of you give good advice, which i will take for future refrence...
so, you're all so high and might, eh?
ever notice dkc sprites?
those, were all advanced art, and compiled into a different format... (sound familliar)
and yet you guys (well most of you) treat it like it's a sprite just fine...
i'm going to fix my art, but not for you guys...
i've seen better manners at a teen party...
sorry for being harsh, but i'm not about to be flamed...
not now, not EVER!!!
Wow, way to be stupid.
We don't hate vectors, they just aren't really sprites perse, and yours are subpar. And yes, we know about the DKC sprites, pre-rendered sprites, doesn't stop us from spriting by hand in that style.
ATTENTION distinguished gentleman
YOU CAN POST THIS IN CREATIVITY AND NOT GET BITCHED AT
SAME THING WAS SAID IN EVERY ONE OF YOUR ART THREADS UP TO THIS POINT

Notice that Donkey Kong Country (although using pre-rendered sprites) was quite obviously retouched in post-production to get them looking correct as sprites and to
keep the colour count down.
Vectored bitmaps can act as sprites, but they will VERY RARELY be as good, and as things stand, what you've done so far is definitly not up to par, considering the medium you're using is much easier.
Now everyone stop bitching before I start warning and/or locking.
