I'm still waiting for some actual gameplay footage before I give my opinion of it.
this looks amazing, but some cutscenes aren't enough to tell if the game's good or not

i forgot that I was watching a trailer for metroid other M until I saw samus

her physics seem pretty bad so far and the environments mostly bland and uninteresting

I forgot I was watching a trailer for a "metroid" game until the "theme" came in briefly at the very end

eh, not really changing my opinion too much

im going to guess this'll hover between a 4/10 - 7/10 for me!!
I disapprove of some fo the camera angles. Sorry, I'm a side-scroller guy myself. Not too keen on the Resident Evil style views I saw at times in that vid. I hate when camera angles vary. In the past, the camera would rotate while you were running or even in mid-air, often causing you to die. Now they opt to snap camera angles, which no longer causes you to die, but it's still annoying as fuck to me.
The controls will make or break this. I still love that opening cinematic with Mother Brain, but putting it at the end of that trailer is kinda dickish unless they plan to actually have a Mother Brain battle in the game.

no, unfortunately, he's kind of right in some regards, this really doesn't make the game look like its going to be that much better
there are some neat things, yes, but
a lot of things that are bothering


the motion/physics look horrible; they're too fast, and the awkward pause as she shoots is pretty jarring (although given how she runs and how its basically an awkward OKAY STRAIGHT INTO FULL SPEED kind of deal, I think i'd prefer she didn't shoot while running). the jumping looks wrong. the environments and "levels" look uninteresting and still seem to predominately feature long "pretty" corridors and circular arenas to fight enemies in - oh boy. level design sure has come a long way.

thats okay, your opinion doesn't really mean anything to me
i don't really expect you to understand much about the subject (which is both influenced by and influences the whole "you're an idiot" thing) so your comments are little more than cute, child-like remarks from a kid who isn't bothering to try
