yeah that's kinda what i'm talking about, y'know. everyone loves the design from when they were younger, nostalgia
So after another few months, Lemmy got a revamp. I don't know about you guys, but the old one (on the right...) makes me cringe...
I love it, but the pony tail swing looks off. I see what you were going for, but the end result makes it look it it kinda freezes in place as it swings away.
Also, this is jsut me nitpicking, but when he stops to make a face, his hair comes to a dead stop which just looks odd.
Old one definitely doesn't make me cringe, but the new one is fantastic. I love his new eye animation.

You may be right, although the way things move now makes sense to me after staring at it for days. Personally I don't see what makes either motion odd and as a result I've no idea how to fix them - if you think they're significant enough to need reworking, feel free to edit the animation and re-post.
I see what he means. The shadow should move up the ponytail more so it looks like it's swinging in addition to it getting a bit shorter and pulling in toward his head a tad.
Ohh, I think I see. Before I change it though, it's the shading that's the problem, right? (If it's the movement, I'm still lost...)
As for the mohawk... still unsure about that.
For the mohawk, it's just the fact that it comes to a dead stop where as, given the shape and what not, you'd assume it would go back and forth a bit more. Thats more of a minor complaint honestly so it's not really a big deal as what you have still works.
I like it, maybe add another frame to his tounge sticking out, like how the older sprite shows him sticking it out for a good 2 seconds before he starts back to the beginning of idle 1. Other than that and previous comments about the hair, I have no critiques fo you.
How's this?
I want to have sex with your sprites
Yeah I'd say that is a lot better.
Hmm... Hey, Ridge, will you also be making a version of Lemmy on that circus ball like he has in SMB3? I don't think that would be too much a problem once you get this base animation done...
And BTW, you rock. Again. I'd +1 your Rep, if I hadn't've given you one already.
Also, the way Lemmy's eyes bounce around: they remind me of a German comic strip known as "Nicht-Lustig". Yeah, the eyes are very similar. Nice effect!
Lemmy will have a variety of attacks, several dealing with rubber balls. Of course I'll be making those poses, it's just how Lemmy rol- no never mind, please shoot me before I make any more bad jokes.
Since there's a string of thanks on my above post, I'll assume that the ground idle is all polished up and ready to go. Recently I've been working on some animations with pipes... After that I might make ball poses, but we'll see.
These are spectacular Ridge
