Look, I fixed it. Good job me.
I'm all for Simon and Isaac but with the other two I really hope you're trolling.
No, this is dead serious.
Square is an important gaming company, one of the most well known, and Final Fantasy is their biggest franchise. Well, the Final Fantasy series has a constantly changing cast of characters, so picking somebody like Cloud, who's been on a Nintendon console like once, wouldn't make sense to represent the whole series. So I think Chocobo is a logical choice. Chocobo are sort of like mascots for the series, having been in many of the FF games, plus, Chocobo has had his own series of games, many being on a Nintendo platform. So not only does he represent Final Fantasy, but his own little series as well.
Sora was added to go with the idea that each company gets a second rep. He could be replaced by Crono from Chrono Trigger for obvious fan reasons or a Moogle because he too is a FF mascot, but my fanboyism wants Sora more. He has a wide range of moves and creating a final smash would be simple. While he has been on Playstation more, two important Kingdom Hearts games were on the GBA and the DS and they advance the story along and basically need to be played to understand some stuff. Koopaul's argument of him being more of a "Playstation guy" is bull since Snake, while originating on the NES in America, has had all his most popular recent games appear on the PS2/3 and PSP. He had one on the Gamecube and I think Gameboy, but that's it. Sora's a good choice for another Square rep or whatever.
I never said you all would agree with me, I just think it's a good way to settle this whole stupid situation. Though even then, it would never be settled.
I can't actually see how you could settle the situation by just adding third-party characters in the blank spaces, while the whole discussion was about taking out some of the characters out of it to make room for other series
Ton's the guy running the project and doesn't really want to do that, so all of you are blowing smoke anyway. My way at least goes with what he wants.
if we want 2 square reps i would say black mage is better than chocobo and something more out of the ordinary to replace sora.

sora is the only protagonist to really be used more than once, every dragon quest hero is called loto but theyre different people, final fantasy has someone new each time.
also chocobo is the mascot, unless you want a fucking moogle or malboro.
rocket would be acceptable too since slimes are stupidly popular.
also
btw, treasure was behind sin and punishment and if thats considered first party, mischief makers should be too. :V

Aside the third-party characters and the absence of Mike Jones, I'm all good with this.
Also, Sin & Punishment was made in a collaboration of Treasure and Nintendo. I'm pretty sure that Mischief Makers' developer was only Treasure :2 Or else F-Zero GX would be a SEGA game.
I think Mischief Makers only had anything to do with Nintendo outside of Japan. I wish she was first party. That would make life much easier.
Somebody go check to see if Mischief Makers is on the Chronicle on Brawl. Then you have your answer.
Even DISNEY gets listed on the Chronicles.
Quote:Mischief Makers, known in Japan as Yuke Yuke!! Trouble Makers (ゆけゆけ!!トラブルメーカーズ lit. Go Go!! Trouble Makers?), is a side-scrolling 2D platform/puzzle video game developed by Treasure, and published by Enix in Japan and by Nintendo in America and Europe for the Nintendo 64
uh
at the very least, it's a Square-Enix game
I hope Gorsal doesn't kill me for this, but
maybe Marina should be scrapped.

its an enix game, made before square and enix joined.
oh well, its third party.
and ive been thinking that too, seeing as marina can only uhh GRAB, SHAKE, THROW.
@Rokkan, why would Gorsal kill you? He's already stated that work on the sprite will likely continue regardless of Marina's admission.
However, moveset's not a problem. I have some stuff already done.
Though I will agree that Saki (or Isa) would be more likely to fit better.
Quote:added Vaati cause I couldn't think of any LoZ characters that I think to replace Toon Link right off the top of my head. Don't really want him i(Vaati) n.
*Cough* Tingle *Cough*
But anways, lol @ this entire thread.
