Somehow the people at this forum subtlely inspire me to attempt my hand at making sprites.

As such, I'd like to show people a sprite of the simplest thing I could think to make essentially: Me.



Maybe its just a secret ploy of my vanity, who knows, but thats not the point.

I'd really appreciate if people point out any fatal mistakes I'm making, any tips, anything that I might be doing that should be avoided, and any other form of critique. Don't be nice, be correct.

I'm quite terrible a spriter in my opinion, though I would like to atleast attempt to improve, and considering the large knowledge and skill base here, this would be the only place I'd seek advice on the matter.

The shape of your sprite is kinda messed up and there is no shading. You should start with tutorials. Here is the one that helped me a lot.
