I'd consider making a pokemon avatar
but I'd rather keep spike spegeil
and to be honest the only thing I see different with gold's design is the lack of hoodie/new sweatshirt
Do you think they'll make different sprites for all the pokemon? Or just some of them, like in Platinum?
EDIT

I'm making a new av anyways, so wynaut? (pokemon humor) lol
after a bit of research and chatting with bean we remembered that gold and silver originally had a female character planned for it and after googling a bit i found
"Apparently, the explanation for the above lies in the fact that the scene in question was created for the beta Gold and Silver games (which were referred to as Pocket Monsters 2) that were first shown in the 1997 Nintendo Space World event. Originally, Gold and Silver were designed for the monochrome Game Boy system, and were meant to be visually similar to Red, Green and Blue (Yellow hadn't existed at the time). As you may know, the games were supposed to feature a different set of new Pokémon (including different starters, although Chikorita was more or less always planned to be included) and player characters (a female character was planned as early as then, but neither she nor her male counterpart looked the same as Kris and Gold). The concept of a new generation was understandably in its diapers so soon after the beginning of the franchise, and so it stood to reason that the old Pokémon wouldn't be phased out."
it's likely that this new girl is an upgraded version of the gs girl that never came to be like how leaf is the rbg girl we never got.
of course theres no way of proving this since it was 12 years ago and in a trailer at space world. we obviously didnt have the technology to record these things back then!

The differences I see are:
- Different sweatshirt
- Hat has less yellow
- Different shorts
- Different shoes
- Different poke-gear

Since the backpack is behind him, it might be the same one, with him using one strap.

One strap, the road to insta-coolness. That's why everyone's doing it. Give in!
ive given in a long time ago
shit, even i hold my backpack with one strap, its soooooooooo cool
only time i ever use both straps is my school bag because its bad for my shoulder if i use one considering how heavy it is.
my backpack is so pokemon it only has one strap
I use one strap
and mine has "2"
Allow me to say, those characters really reminded me of Digimon series's style.
ironically.
ironically
its the other way around, since pokemon came first.
