No, not really. But does it really matter? The sprite is like 30 pixels. All you'll see is the hat, which is the same, and various blacks and golds and reds.

I used to love vans. Until everybody and their grandmother literally wore them. Seriously, I see them so often, its just uggh.

If you like the old design of gold that then you minus well go play the original G/S/C, but all in all it doesn't really matter. That and lets not forget that it's also a new generation, you nostalgia minded goggle bearers need to keep with the time and take off the god damn goggles

I was thinking, if they were to do the daycare the same way they did in the original where you can see your Pokemon you've left in the daycare on the overworld, they'd have to make overworld sprites for every Pokemon. And if they're gonna make overworld sprites for every Pokemon, they might as well make the first Pokemon in your party follow you around rather than just your starter.

Yeah, but remember that there were only like 10 overworld sprites(exaggeration) total, since a lot of pokemon shared sprites

at least thats how we are suposed to do it in this side of teh world.

They could use the menu sprites that each pokemon has.
Not that I wouldn't mind each one having their own overworld though.
That, or they could just change the daycare to be more like the newer ones.

i was thinking if the kimono girls are gonna have 2 additional sisters due to leafeon and glaceon.

but then i realized you had to go to eterna forest and route 217 to those special rocks in order to evolve eevee to those, so i guess its sinnoh only.

im REALLY interested in what the 2 generation shifts are gonna do to hgss.

Well, we do have Ilex Forest and Ice Cave, so having the 2 rocks is possible. Granted Ilex is a Pine foest and not a deciduous one, but Game Freak probably doesn't give a shit about IRL Ecology logic.
