And they're all fucking awesome.
Besides, Mother 3 uses the same sound chip.
but is has GOOD MUSIC
tbqh the only good song I can remember is the wild pokemon battle theme
the beginning (before the horn sounds start) has a cool "powering up" sort of baseline
it's like those three notes get you ready to fight
RSE= best music, worst game.
RBY is inarguably the worst game, it's just happens to also be the oldest one/the one people remember the most. Don't be so extreme.

so the original Super Mario Bros. is the worst Super Mario game ever
Indeed, by that logic I would consider New Super Mario Brothers better than the original, since it has more content, and improves on the mechanics of the original. The other Mario games aren't direct sequels to it, and can't be compared in the same way (although you can reason which would be the best Mario platformer, you'd have to take other factors in to account).
It's a pretty logical and obvious conclusion, really.

we've been getting every event japan has lately guys.
I dont know, have we gotten the Jirachi w/Draco Meteor event yet?
EDIT: To add onto the discussion of the starters, Infernape does outclass him, while he gets batton pass and agility, Infernape gets Nasty Plot/Close Combat/better movepool.
@The person who said empoleon does not preform well: Hah. Empoleon is very very hard to take down once it has set up with Agility/Substitue/Petaya berry. Most teams can't handle it after it has set up, making it a very huge threat, like DDtar
Thing is with the original games being not as great as there later successors is because the NES and Gameboy were completely limited on what they could do with the technology of that platform. So in this case if the later platform would have much improved tech and the cartage the game could put much more content in that game.
So it's not the developers fault

No one said it was, but that doesn't magically make them better because they had a handicap. Old cars are less streamlined and less fuel efficient because the technology at the time couldn't make a better car at a cost effective price. It's not the manufacturer's fault, but it still renders the car inferior to the same model produced 10 years later (vintage enthusiasts notwithstanding. Which is probably the same case here).

And Grooveman, I don't see how you could say Emerald is better than FR/LG. All it had more was some 2 bit animations, more double battes, and a double battle with Steven. Wait a sec...

exactly what I'm pointing out.
Older technology is usually shittier then the newer ones so logically the older ones would not be that great in the present

Arguably this was the best music to come out of emerald
