also raytheon, explain how this isnt JUS even though all those before seem to know it is.
No, it's not a particularly good style - it's just an easy one.
And yet, you still manage to use dull colours, lack contrast, and forget that dark-coloured clothing in shadow is represented by solid black.

there is plenty of contrast in my colors which are pretty bright, and not all have solid black shading, look at gaara for example.
once again, JUS isnt a bad style, and to say it's an easy style is a lie, it took me so long to even do edits right. besides if were such a bad style, professional's wouldnt be using it.

...
I didn't say bad, I said easy. 'Professionals' as you say probably use the style since it's easier to produce a lot of sprites with undemanding size and shading rules. tSR used the style a hell of a lot in previous years (just like they did with Mario & Luigi even earlier), but then everyone moved on, when it became apparent both how undemanding it was, and how despite that, people still managed to ignore the basic style rules.
The contrast in the charcoal looks really samey - but that might be because all his clothing's the same colour; which I concede isn't a contrast flaw. It's pretty boring design, though.

well if your a ninja you dont want a flashy design..besides, clothing comes second to facial details if you ask me.

And yeah, JUS is for beginners, usually.
Anyway, since you're not going to listen to us and just make dumb excuses, paste your sprite beside official sprites and see for yourself how much it clashes with the style.

i made this with it being pasted to others, it fit in until some of you me to fix the "contrast"..
and i've done what most of you have asked, and for your information, i like dyed hair, if you dont, thats your problem not mine, so quit bugging me about the hair..
and i know great spriters who use JUS..i know tons of beginners who say they can do JUS, but only minorly edit/recolor...so yeah..
if you have anything useful to say, i'll be glad to listen to it. at least groove stated his points non douchish.
edit: here it is truly fixed
edit2: made him in different style, i know its not that good but i was bored.

Tuna weren't you JUS master for some time, or was that someone else.
Also, the question I posed is a valid one. No good comes from a ninja streaking his hair white. Unless he wants to be spotted in the shadows or some shit. And like I said, taking an existing character (Sai) and giving it a different hairstyle is bad practice.
Another thing about the white streaks; they look like dirt on your new sprite.

that character has a problem when it comes to readbility of his face features and details.

@digi:what do you mean?
@mr.butt butt: its not your fucking character so shut the fuck up about his hiar, your just using my argument about clothing, you obviously havent seen other ninja and there hair., and i did not base his design off of sai, if its so damn noticable to others i will change it. .
suigetsu has bright silver hair
sasori has a fiery red hair
konan has a pale blue color for hair..
by flashy clothing i meant something thats not simplistic and such
if you notice ninja's in the naruto universe have simple clothing, nothing with huge shoulder pads, or whatever. so thats what i have to say to you sir, and if you have anything else to say about his hair, pm me about it, because im sick of arguing in my own topic.

Hmmm... Now that I think of it, many games out there use a style similar to JUS. Zatch Bell, the original GBA One Piece, some of the Naruto RPG games and even the Sonic Advance series could stand beside JUS characters without too much style clashing. It seems mostly a mangaesque style.
