All right then! Give me a bit, and I'll update the first post with new rules and information, and make a new progress thread.
I'm willing to help people since I personally don't like RPG Maker's battle system or graphic style much and I lack the interest in RPG Maker to learn to change it.

However I am willing to assist people with whatever they need, while I might not be a pixel artist (I can try but boy do I suck...) I can summon up my dusty ability to analyse and critique writing, write original stuff if wanted, or I can design the correlation between various statistics.

I would make my own RPG, however I would in my own pathetic way rather make it with SQL/PHP/HTML than I would with RPG Maker, or with Visual Basic (since I'd make a text based thing and make my own horrid little pseudo-'engine').

tl;dr

writer, editor, system designer, at anyone and everyone's service.
You would be handy for stats and such.
Let me be the first to say that we should try to make something not clique. It would be nice to have something fresh like Mother was during that era. I'll leave that up to you.
Whatever you want me to do, PM me and I'll get right on it.

If anyone want to see some of my own writing before considering getting me to assist with the writing side of things, I'll upload some of my old writing stuff in the next few days. I haven't written for the last few months and I'd welcome an excuse and a drive to write, as well as a constant second opinion focused on quality.

I think you mean 'cliché'.

And well, that's up to the individual producers.

I'll add Dark Ultima (and Koopaul?) as Helpers. Please check the other stickied RPG thread!
I won't get in your way. But if your looking for help on anything that needs an extra mind, you can count on me.

(And yeah I always spell that word wrong do to my retarded spell check.)
Methinks I may sign up as a Helper. If anyone wants to do this RMXP/VP thing, but doesn't know what the hell they want for a story or theme and the like, lemme know. I've got ideas that never get used, so I don't see why other people can't have 'em.
so we aren't allowed to have teams anymore? you pretty much screwed viper and i over while we were gone.
Sad
In that case, it appears that I'll have to go back to my original idea, Tuna.
Nono, the point was that you can team with and assist anyone you liked. So by all means.
Eh I don't mean to interrupt but are you worried that what happened to TSR previous game project might happen again? And if so are there any precautions to avoid such things?
Um, yeah?

It's the whole reason why everyone's in charge of their own project. No conflict over what goes in their game, only the people who are actually motivated get things done, the people who get things done are more likely to be assisted by the helpers.

Aside from that, having the aspect dioscussion threads gives something of a safety net - even if you don't work as fast as everone else, participating in the threads are guaranteed to have at least something for their project.

I did think this through; but of course it all depends on the participants.
But what if one group's works conflict with another group?

Like say one group decides to make something that doesn't work well with the ideas of another group and neither side gives in.
You seem to be misunderstanding this entire thing, koopaul. As of right now, there's only like two "groups." Composed of two people at most. And they're all working on different projects.

The groups aren't separating doing one thing for this group in order to make one RPG; every "group" (again, if at all; most people are going it alone as far as I know) they're all doing ONE RPG themselves. If group 1 doesn't agree with group 2 they can suck it because they aren't working on the same game anyway.
