Ahem.

Have we narrowed down our choices?

Either way I have an idea for DK's Tree House. Here's a really rough sketch of it I whipped up. Obviously there will be a helluva lot more stuff (like waterfalls, bushes, trees, etc.) But this gives you the basic layout. The red represents what you can walk on.

Here we have DK's Tree House. Pretty average, but are those mine cart tracks? Yes! Beware a runaway mine cart may speed from one end jump off the tracks and hit you! It can come from either direction so watch out.
Hmm, I really like the house itself, but I'd suggest using palm trees or even a hammock instead of the mine carts.
Yeah but that's the hazard. Like the Mario Circuit stage, minecart will jump across and hurt you.
But why would there be a mine cart in the middle of the jungle? If anything, a steel keg (With a Gnawty riding it, hah) can roll by and hit people.
Actually in the Mario Power Tennis DK stage you can see a Minecart track (and monkeys riding one) coming out of a cave around the stage and back into the mines.

Also in DK64 the Minecart stage for Fungi Forest leaves the mines for a section into a nice area above the trees and over a rainbow.

Thirdly there was a stage in DK Barrel Blast that is part outside and inside a mine. The tracks can be followed outside the mine as well.

Also (even though its not DK) Wario's Gold Mine in MKWii has the tracks extend outside the mines.
I like the Treehouse idea.

BTW for a Yoshi series stage, how about Baby Bowser's castle? I think Yoshi could use a different stage instead of Yoshi's island (I mean keep YI but have another Yoshi stage)
I had a Yoshi stage idea, too

A series of platforms that rotate in circles reminiscent of Yoshi's Topsy Turvy
I think we're going to have an actual Bowser's Castle stage, os I think we should do something a bit more traditional with the YI stage.

Koopaul, the thing about that is that those are complete new areas. DK's house would have no reason to have a mine cart track, let alone one that shoots carts in front of his house. I think we should use something from the Jungle theme instead.
Hmm... I have a few ideas.

Cinnabar Island: A basic design, maybe the labratory or Pokemon Center in the background, sea all around the stage, along with a volcano. Blaine is shown training aswell, and may occasionally have his Pokemon aim at one of the players. Sometimes Chansey and Nurse Joy may come out of the center, Chasey uses softboiled, and the reults are predictable. Rarely, Chansey may accidentally may use Egg Bomb. Occasioanlly the volcano may erupt, and also damages the players. The lava will harden, remodeling the stage, and soon the sea covers the stage, washing away the lava.

Rocket Hideout: The Rocket Hideout, with Rocket Grunts, Executives, and sometimes Giovanni in the background. The grunts may throw Pokeballs for the players to use. Also Electrodes may explode from the background.

So? Cranky's Cabin was never built over a rapid river and yet in Melee it was. Sometimes you change things up to make it interesting for the stage. Of course it has to be in flavor of the series.

Either way I was planing on having the mine cart tracks leaving two tunnels on the sides of two cliffs.

What will the screen size be? I think that should effect the stage size, unless the screen can follow the player in a larger world.
I would hope that the game would run in 320x240, or 640x480.
Ok, I'm starting to like it, actually. But what happens to the carts after they ramp?
The cart leaps across, lands on the track on the other side and into the mine.
Ah, ok. I thought it would go upwards.
