Pac-Man can EASILY be an Assist Trophy. I don't see the problem.

With the new description?

Done.

Yup and that's why hes not on the playable roster. I had a feeling that people would probably start complaining, but its really not that far out of what should be expected in the game. Say what you like, but Pacman is much more than popular enough to qualify not to mention much more widely known about then Klonoa.

Uh

This confuses the shit out of me.

Klonoa is the one that we decided would be playable, not Pac-Man. So the Assist trophy would also be from the same game series and not pac-man.

Well look at it this way. In Brawl there are a plethora of assist trophies from games without playable characters. Granted this didn't happen for 3rd parties in that game, but there aren't too many facts to argue with for either view. Seeing as this is a fangame though there is more than a little bit of leeway for us and besides the ones the project leaders have decided, there aren't any dead set rules we are forced to follow. Considering that the majority of us want Pacman in as an Assist Trophy, which you'll hardly ever end up having to deal with any way with all of the other ones in the game, there's no real reason for us to choose NOT to include him.
Please no. I don't want Pac-Man as an AT.

I'm still keeping my fingers cross for a DLC.

Its not like the DLC has to make sense. In a game where you can have multiple Marios and Sonics battling it out is it really that much of a stretch for there to be a playable and a non-playable Pacman at the same time?
I don't really know any good moves for Pac-Man too be playable.
All he does is WAKA WAKA WAKA.
fine. But if we do have pacman, his eye has to go. Also the colors could be more vibrant
I know we discussed this earlier, but for characters that are ATs and have the potential to become playable characters, it's easy enough to remove their AT when they become characters, and replace their AT with something similar.
Its mostly because Klonoa is the character and Pac-Man is the AT. Its like saying one franchise is more important than the other.

Usually that's the case.

You're right that usually is the case. However there are also exceptions to things on occasion. This is one of those times.

I'm sorry if this bothers you, but had this ended the opposite way others would have been just as bothered as you are now. There just didn't seem to be much room for compromisation this time.
I don't know if this has been suggested earlier in this thread, but the thought just popped up in my head, and to me seems like a valid and reasonable AT.

Tetris Blocks
Something in lines of several tetris blocks fall from the sky downwards and damage anyone they hit.

(And while posting this a quick stage idea came to mind, that I'll just mention briefly, since it's not really thought-out and I don't think it's worth making another post about: Tetris Stage: You are on a platform, and tetris blocks constantly fall from the sky, and landing on the platform as in the tetris game, and makes the platform higher and higher until a "line" is formed that clears that line, just like a tetris game, if you will, and it just goes on and on.)
Sweet! pac-man rocks!
I just thought: what are we going to do about sfx with the Pokemon? Do we somehow take them from the anime or the games?
There's Pokemon SFX all over the place.
Mhm.
But he brings up a good (And slightly ignored) fact; this game is cartoony, and we're even switching Epic Bowser to Common, Cartoon Bowser.
Do we use Game or Anime sounds for them?
I'm not sure how whether or not we're using epic or cartoony Bowser influences the Pokemon sound effects.
