Woah, I've been so busy I forgot I was helping with this.
Anyways, I like your list Koopaul, although the Zelda one bugs me. I mean, it just seems like you went for too obvious of a choice with your selections. It just seems like there should be a less... whats the word I'm looking for here... single game icon I guess? For example, the Mario ATs had Hammer Bro., Lakitu and what not. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the LoZ should have at least one AT that gets in due to it's long running appearances in the series, and not the impact it had on a single game.
My idea would be Octorok. It could spawn an 8bit octorok that the summoner can pick up and run about with as it shoots rocks, or something like that.

I like that Octorok idea. Or maybe we could do a floormaster?
Can there be 3rd party assist trophies? I was actually thinking Arthur from Ghouls N' Ghosts/Goblins whatever.
Third parties will be one per featured franchise.

I was just kinda thinking an AT you can pick up would be cool. What if you throw they floor master (or would that be a wallmaster?) at someone and it latches onto them and they loose control until they knock it off or something?
(04-25-2010, 02:00 AM)Koopaul Wrote: [ -> ]Okay here's my list of ATs that weren't suggested yet/ on the list. There should be more than what I'm offering but I don't know much about certain franchises like Golden Sun so...
MARIO:
Rosalina and Luma
DONKEY KONG:
Rambi
Squawks
ZELDA:
Midna
Phantom
Skull kid
METROI
Dark Samus
KIRBY:
Kracko
OTHER:
Ducks and Dog~ Duck Hunt
Prince Sable~ Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru
Takumaru~ Nazo no Murasamejō
Chibi-Robo~ Chibi-Robo
Doshin~ Doshin the Giant
These are good choices and all, but they still need to have descriptions of what they do. Without those, nobody will have a good idea of what animations to sprite.

That actually sounds pretty awesome! I'll put that up on the first post.
Rosalina- Summons bit comets to the stage that can hurt foes. After they hit the ground they shatter into 3 star bits that can heal anyone who eats them.
Rambi- Follows summoner around and rams anyone who gets to close (idk)
Squawks- Stage goes dark and squawks flies around with a light making it hard to safely navigate the stage (neutral AT, doesn't help or hurt anyone intentionaly)
Midna- Floats about with a dim field around her. Anything that touches the field will be caught with her "hand", thrashed about, then flung. (Or just use her giant spider form, but that may be harder to sprite).
Phantom- Summons a very slow Phantom. It will walk around (sloooowly) and attack anyone it sees (including the summoner) resulting in an instant kill (unless something blocks them). This AT would most likely be incredibly rare as it is powerful, but dangerous for even the summoner. (not like it'd be hard to outrun though).
Skullkid- Makes the moon fall. THe moon itself won't hurt you, it's the impact with the main stage that will. The other players will actually have to team up and "push" the moon back with attacks (I think it would be cool to force the players to work together to survive.
Dark Samus- idk, fights like a CPU of samus?
Cracko- Gee, idk, lightning?
Duck Hunt Dog- Pops up, laughs, and makes everyone (except summoner) slip until he leaves.
Prince Sable- Who?
Takumaru- Again, who?
Chibi Robo- He will pick up items on the stage in attempt to "clean". He will then either bring them to the summoner, or throw them at foes.
Doshin- Stands in the BG and throws monuments onto the stage that crumble away after a bit.
Just some ideas
EDIT- Just had an idea for one more AT.
Popple the shadow thief: He will team up with the summoner to pull off his own Bro. Moves. How will this work you ask? The summoner will grab Popple (like he would any other character, then throw them, the throw you pick will decide the attack.
Throws
^- Popple goes up into the air and comes crashing back down, sending off a small shock wave on on both sides of him.
<>- Tosses Popple forward (or backwards) who then rolls past people, stealing any items they may have.
v- Slams Popple into the ground, thus flattening him, after a while he will spring up, launching anyone too close to him up into the air (it carries the effect of them using an ^B, so they can't attack.
Figured I would pitch some ideas. Feel free to disregard both of these suggestions if they have already been suggested or aren't that great or any other reason.
Ralph (Zelda Oracle of Ages (and seasons too? dunnooooo)) - Appears, taunt/laughs, and then jumps at a random character (random including player who summoned him) swinging his sword. Can be attacked. Not a very helpful assist trophy.
Onigiri - Hops around the stage until it bumps into something or someone, and then explodes.
EDIT: I may try spriting Onigiri later if anyone else thinks he would make a good assist.
Not to big on the Ralph idea. I mean, we have enough ATs that just attack, we need to mix it up a bit. As for your Ongiri idea, thats better, but it sounds too much like a Bob-omb.
(04-26-2010, 03:54 PM)Chaoxys Wrote: [ -> ]As for your Ongiri idea, thats better, but it sounds too much like a Bob-omb.
I guess it does. There's not really alot it could do though. Maybe it only blows up if attacked? I mean, I checked the Mario wiki and the only thing it mentioned it does is blow up when it gets upset.
Maybe it would be better to throw in some kind of wrecking crew reference with it?
Speaking of Wrecking Crew, maybe Foreman Spike would make a better assist trophy. He would ride around in his digger machine thingy and dig pitfall traps around the stage.
Like mentioned above, I figure Phantom would be a deadly yet slow AT. However if attacked from behind, it will die.
Rosalina, I don't want to cause any damage, we have too many AT's that attack. We need variety. We'll just stick with the Star Bits that can heal you.
Kracko is one of the most common and famous Kirby bosses next to Whispy. Unlike Whispy, Kracko can move, that's why he's a good choice. Flying around shooting bolts of lightening like Pikachu's thunder.
Takamaru (I misspelled his name before) will act like a replacement for Goroh. He runs around slicing ya'll up.
Prince Sable, instead of using his sword (because that would be redundant) he can transform into the frog or the snake. As the frog he is completely harmless, as the snake he is very deadly.
Duck Hunt Dog, does something cooler. He sniffs around and scares out some ducks. The ducks are harmless but a horrible gun cursor appears and will try to shoot the Ducks and YOU. If the cursor misses the Dog will laugh.
Well if we're doing Duck Hunt as a stage we can nix the Dog as an assist.
Oh right... Forgot about that. Well you can do either one.

Yes please.
Wait can there be a Third party assist trophy if the isn't a playable representing the Series?
I suggest a few characters.
Grey Warden and the Dragon-
(Damages anyone even the summoner)
Okay basicly the Grey Warden walks onto the screen half way knocking people behind him doing 10 percent damage, then a Dragon flys across the screen half-way. Warden jumps up and attacks it while it trying to knock him off flailing it's limbs and flying random places. (If hit does 50 percent damage) The Dragon then falls down, landing on a platform. The Grey warden Stabs it in the head and walks away.
