Eeeeh...I don't know many namco people...but I'm not sure if KOS-MOS should have a spot...
Having third party characters shouldn't matter as long as you know people will like it, and so far I do!
I personally believe that Pac-Man is much more iconic and deserving than Kos-Mos. Plus, the argument that he has no potential as a fighter is a null argument, I mean, we've got Olimar and Jigglypuff in the real Smash Bros. Besides that, Pac-Man has plenty of powers to draw on.

Not that I dislike the inclusion of Kos-Mos, I just think Pac-Man fits better. What's with the humongous sprites on the sheet? They're pretty cool, but what's their purpose?
you know we have two characters per 3rd party
Well, at the moment, Namco doesn't have two characters because of Marina.
I know nothing of KOS-MOS or the Xenosage series, but I like to see where this is going Genki ^_^.

I assume KOS-MOS is pretty popular and has appeared on a Nintendo console, so I don't see much of a problem with her being in the game. Although, I must admit, whenever I hear the word "Namco", the main things that come to mind are either Pacman, Klonoa, or (most of the time) Tekken...
I would like to see something like this if possible:

SEGA:
Sonic
(another non-Sonic rep)

Konami:
Snake
Goemon

Namco:
Pac-Man
Klonoa

Capcom:
Mega Man
Viewtiful Joe

The issue isn't that Pac-man doesn't have the potential to be a fighter, it's that all his moves in games where he fights are copies of Sonic's abilities. One of the few things he does on his own is throwing pac-dots. Whoopdedoo. And honestly? I'm not so sure he's so much of a popular character as he is iconic. I mean, would you really play as him much at all?

Also, to argue that Olimar and Jigglypuff had little potential to be fighters is silly. Olimar's moves are true to what he does in his games, and Jigglypuff is from a game based around fighting to begin with.

Also, Marina is most likely going to stay, as she is our second SquareEnix character, with Geno being the first. And I think Ton said something about wanting Marina in.
