Oh I get it now.
I'll see if I can get an animation of it going on Sonic's thread later on.

What would be more accurate would be to have sonic start charging by spinning (he could have that glow effect from his attack in SA2 to make it look different from his vB), and while he is, a path of rings will pop in front of him one ring at a time (but still rather quickly). You let go and he zips across them.

We could give sonic a move where he throws things and then another where he can use the light dash to connect with them. The only problem I see with that is that it waste two slots.

Although your problem could be solved, like Snake's Down + B, Sonic would literally be invincible if someone was really good at playing as Sonic. Maybe it could be the light dash without rings? I mean, although Sonic can't really do that without rings in normal games, it could be changed to a smaller version of Sonic's 'Sonic Boom' move from Sonic Rivals (I know, it's his Special signature move, but I'm running out of ideas too.)
EDIT: I just thought, since Krystal is in StarFox, I assume that she will be a clone of Fox, Falco and Wolf. If so, should her Up + B move be slightly different to the other's. After all, Fox's B move is slightly different to the others (he can shot much more lasors than the other two), Falco's Down + B is slightly different to the other two (he lobs his reflector instead of holding it), and Wolfs Side + B is slightly different (he moves slightly faster and in a more upward direction), and that just leaves the Up + B. Any ideas for this?

what?

Just because she is a StarFox character you assume she will be a clone of all three? Yeah, not really. I believe Krystal needs a moveset based on StarFox Adventures.
Here is a moveset I had in mind.
B:Fire Staff (You know in Adventures when you can shoot fireballs out of the staff. That could be it.
Side B:???
Up B:???
Final Smash: (I have two ideas for this one.)
Krazoa Spirit: All of the Krazoa Spirits form inside Krystal making her eyes purplish and making her abilities and attacks more powerful. Also she is invincible the whole time.
Cloud Runner: A cloud runner appears from the sky and carries her off where she flies above the stage using her staff powers to fire attacks at you.
Personally, I like the Krazoa Spirit idea better.

^B could be that rocket ability thing
vB could be the earthquake
<> Could be a chargeable ice shot attack

Yeah but about that Krazoa spirit thing, people will probably not understand that/ remember that as well. People who are unfamiliar with Star Fox Adventures will probably relate better with the Cloudrunner, especially since that's the name of her ship in Command.

That may be, but Cloud Runner sounds like a horrible attack (no offense) that could turn out to be very similar to Snake's or Yoshi's FS (depending on how exactly it's done).
I have these old movesets for her I did a LONG time ago. It said:
B: Ice staff - Krystal shoots a somewhat short-ranged stream of ice in front of herself, (comparable to Bowser's B); after the ice has done a bit of damage, the target is temporarily frozen.
side B: Fire staff - Krystal fires a ball of fire ahead of her. The aim can be slightly adjusted by pressing side B then up, or side B then down.
up B: Rocket staff - Krystal flies almost directly upwards for quite some distance, after a brief, interruptible charging animation. It doesn't do much damage, though.
down B: Earthquake - Krystal plunges her staff into the ground, shaking the ground immediately nearby (comparable to SSBM Venusaur attack). If performed on the ground, she leaps up first.
Also, the main reason I used ice for neutral B is because there are already plenty of characters who have fire neutral B attacks, so using ice would provide Kirby with a significantly different attack.
Also, I'm not quite so sure, but Smash Brothers does often seem to emphasize some obscure things, and Star Fox Adventures is definitely less obscure than some of the other things the game commonly pulls.
However, I have no problem using something not from SFAdv just so that her appearances in other games also get some attention; after all, she's a full-fledged Star Fox character, unlike a certain dinosaur.

In a series that is fueled by nostalgia, I don't think referencing Krystal's most definitive role is much of a problem.
05-13-2010, 11:52 PM
Yes but Cloud Runner is also from Star Fox Adventures. I'm just saying people will probably relate better to riding on the back of a pteradon than having a blue spirit enter your body.

Ok, so since Krystal is different to the others, do we want to change Wolf's and/or Falco's moveset then?
Ive never played starfox before, so I dont know much about anyone and cant come up with any suggestions

Falco and Wolf are fine. Anybody that says that the three are clones of each other is an idiot. They're about as cloned as Ryu, Ken and Akuma.
