What about changing Samus' B down and make it better.
I remember trying to rain Bombs down from above but those bombs drop so slowly that they can be dodged or will explode midair before landing on my target.
Have them drop faster.
About the OoT shining ball idea: Maybe, the more he charges it the larger, and stronger yet slower the ball flies? Eh?
Ahh yeah, that's a good idea. But I kinda like what Raid suggested with it not being chargeable at all, and the amount of damage depends on how many times it's been volleyed back.
I do reckon the sword should be used as a side smash, though. I mean... when the heck did Ganny ever use his elbow? I think while you're holding the button and thereby charging the move, he'll have his hand on the sword handle protruding from his sheath, and as soon as you release it, he'll swipe it forward, like in TP. A sidwards slash kinda thing.
EDIT: Which will mean he wouldn't carry the sword in his idle. It'd be sheathed, but used for certain attacks, I reckon. *Just forgot to add that*
The fully charged version of the light ball attack from the video fired off four or five balls, and they all had some kind of homing effect to them. If we do go for a charging version of that attack, I think the homing/multiple projectiles would be an important part in differentiating it from other charge projectiles. The deflection idea would work well with that too, since it'd add some risk to fully charging the attack.

That's not really the point of Samus' bombs. The main use of it, from what I've seen, is to get some more distance when returning to the stage. In fact her bombs shouldn't even fall to begin with. And it definitely shouldn't be changed. I can't think of any other Metroid weapon that Samus doesn't already have with her in Brawl and Morph Ball bombs are pretty important in every Metroid game.
Yes I know they are important. I didn't want to get rid of them I just wanted them to be more useful.
They are incredibly useful as is if you know what you are doing. For example, I use them when fighting opponents that can use attacks that can cover a great distance, like C. Falcon's vB, or Fox's >B. I set a bomb and bounce away from them, thus letting them slam into said bomband giving me time to attack some more.
We already discussed the energy ball idea. Read a few post back!
Ganondorf is over powered with his sword, it's pretty fast and really strong. He has a huge range too...He has a two hander with one hand in reality a two can basicly slice through a body. So we would have to make the game more cheasy, or really bloody and impossible to kill Ganondorf. Sword definatly needs to stay out, unless we use the Oot one which is just another sword fighter...with nothing real new.
... I thought the sword was just gonna be an aesthetic change for the most part? And what are you going on about blood and impossible to kill Ganondorf? For starters, with your reasoning, every sword character should have made the Smash games more bloodier, since cutting someone in half isn't just the only way of making someone bleed.
Reach isn't an issue. He may have a long, disjointed hit box but it means nothing if he's still the slowest character in Smash. And you can't say he has to be fast. Look at Ike. He was, IIRC, one of the fastest characters in his games and in Brawl? One of the slowest.
We aren't nintendo do we really have the right to edit his fighting-style?
Nintendo already made him slow as fuck what are you even
yeah, nintendo just made him a slow, useless captain falcon clone, why wouldn't we change him
Not useless. Just a slow Captain Falcon clone.
Has anybody thought about changing Mario or Luigi's Final Smashes? They have almost no relation to anything they've done in their games, especially Luigi.
