Yeah, OT, I got the game yesterday. Unfortunately, I don't imagine anyone on my floor is interested in Mario, and I don't have a Wii here, so I'll have to wait until Saturday to play it. I'm going to have to try really hard not to spoil some of the later levels for myself.
I was leaning towards getting this after I heard it was meant to be challenging. So far every review I have read says it isn't, think I'll wait for my brother to pick it up and just play it when I go home.
I love the game, my only complaints are:

If it's a 1 Player game, you have to be Mario, or even if it's a multiplayer game, Player 1 is always Mario (Not too big a deal since it is a Mario game, and there's no difference playing as someone else, still, it would be nice to play as Luigi or a Toad)
And you can't take Yoshi out of a level, like you could in SMW

Other than that, I really like it...And as far as difficulty is concerned, it's actually harder than I thought it would be

no, it is rather hard..reeeeally hard..so hard that you would want to throw the controler at the tv hard.

this.
Especially the cave level from world 6 and the Ludwig fight
I heard if you beat the game without making the Super Guide block appear you get some sort of reward on the title screen.

Anyone done that.
definitely getting this sometime.
The final boss seems pretty below par in comparison to the rest of the game, but I'll probably still buy it whenever I get a Wii.
I will get my copy tomorrow when it comes out over here in Germany.

I've heard that this game will be actually pretty hard to beat alone, especially when comparing it to games like Super Mario Galaxy (which was damn easy). So I guess it's going to make a lot of fun right?

I had some rounds already in four player mode back the day when the gamescom resided in Köln. It was a hell of fun,I've been constasntly throwing strangers in some pits.

Btw. the final Bowser in PM 1 was actually pretty easy,Shadow Queen was much harder. But yeah,I didn't know the awesome badge combinations and didn't level up much...

Oh,and SMW Bowser was a pain in the as when I was seven. Had a lot of gameovers.
Got it today. Quite hard actually.
Haven't played multilayer yet. I could play it with my GF but she will fall in every hole in the game.
Got it yesterday. I haven't played single player yet, but 3-4 player co op is absolute mayhem and awesome, and 2 player co-op is much less crazy but even more awesome. Love it so far.
I really want this game.
You guys might not know but I own every Mario game known in the market.
Even if I don't have the console for the gaem.
And I finally got a Wii so I really want this game...I heard in a commercial that if you go to GameStop and trade in 2 of the selected game you get an awesome discount on Mario Bros.Wii
$9.99 and it's supposed to be $49.99.I got the link to the site right here.

I picked up NSMB Wii today and I've been taking my time exploring and getting used to the waggle mechanics. I'm nearing the end of World 1.

well looking at this list it's actually a really shitty deal
considering most games on that list are usually bought new at $50, ok that's $100 of your monies
maybe you'll get lucky or be an idiot and have bought both the games you're gonna trade in used, but that's for another time

trade any of those select games and you won't usually get more than $30 for any game . then, you get the option of purchasing New SMB for $10

so
$100
with your store credit you've that's like $40 ~ 60 when you bought those games new right out the window
then new SMB Wii for $10

cool, in the end you've lost enough face value on those titles you're essentially paying $50-70 for NSMBWii and two decent games for the console of your choice anyway

cool screwover bro

and nice legal scam, gamestop i wish i could be as dirty and grimy as you when it comes to selling games
(sell your games on ebay mate)

as for this game, i'm fuckin' lovin it. I'm only up to World 3-5, but that's because I'm a perfectionist and try to get every Toad saved and every Star Coin up to that point
And I bought the game for my girlfriend, so when I go over her house we always play together and she falls into pits (sometimes because i throw her into them by accident Sad)
sweet game bro
hey wait can you use old school controls or is it all waggle?
Also they should definitely do New Super Mario World
because I don't know why they'd keep basing remakes on games that were substantially limited after this.
