After you save her.
Nah Miyamoto wants the bitches in their place. Intelligent Systems however always likes to get Peach out of the dungeon.

I noticed a pattern. Here's the thing about the Mario games developed by Miyamoto.
-Miyamoto games NEVER uses characters from games that weren't made by him.
-Peach will always be captured.
-Bowser will always be the main bad guy.

so in other words miyamoto thinks recycling the same story 500 times is a good idea

wow, I never really noticed that (to a degree). But I don't blame him, those characters could be copyrighted to those other developers, sure they might be in a Mario game, but they should stay in their series, like Geno, bet you he is owned by Square. and Fawful, Cackletta, and Midbus they are probably owned by Alpha Dream (I believe that's the company, correct me if I'm wrong). also they aren't his creation, so he doesn't want anything with them. But it would be cool if characters could make it to a Mainstream Mario Game. (sorry if you don't understand what I am saying....trying to word it well...)

sure i can see original characters being used but why not a slightly different story or ending
i mean if you unlock peach it could be that mario was captured and the other players would be daisy and the 2 toads.
and daisy was in fact created by miyamoto

Metal Gear Solid is not a good benchmark for storylines.

I'm not talking about "good." I'm talking about "not boring."

Even then, I'd still suggest that MGS was a pioneer in 'not straightforward' plots and storylines, quality and entertainment value notwithstanding; if only because those would be a little subjective.

I was referencing from the "New Super Mario Bros. DS" and stuff.
I was just saying that I would prefer a unique mario game as opposed to another remake.
But yeah, the classics were revolutionary. I'll agree to that.
there's only one little problem with your post.
New Super Mario Brothers wasn't exactly remake of anything, It never was. It reintroduced the main story line.
Just because it plays similar to the original doesn't mean it is a remake.
