Yesd I relize the paradoxial setting of that remark now that I look back at it. Super Mario Galaxy is a bit of a 'casual' game too...I think Mario should have stuck with sidescrolling and such, since the 3-D games are both irritating and repetitive, I mean there's only so many times you can collect 8 Red Coins or 100 Purple Coins without wanting to bash yourself in the face just to have something better to do. I sear those collecting levels are by far the dumbest ever, as were the race levels. I'm really sick of Mario's 3-D adventures to tell the truth. Plus 3-D games give virtually nothing to rip other than particularly-useless-to-most-people textures. If I had my way, the closest thing to 3-D would be somethign like Super MArio RPG and nothing further. Unfotunaely Nintendo is apparently now run by retards who think just because you CAN use 3-D, means you SHOULD.
I'm not claimign to be an expert on video games. I'm not. I just express my opinion honestly. Super Mario Galaxy is just another installment of the "OH LOOK YOU CAN MOVE THE CONTROLLER AND MAKE STUFF ON THE SCREEN DO THINGS" games. The comets were just plain annoying, and the most fun I had was chasing those bag monsters that leave footprints around...

HOLY CRAP! THAT'S WHERE THEY CAME FROM! AAAAAGH!

When I was high as shit the other day, I was thinking of a Mario Shooter.
I'm sorry that Mario sniping DK in the head would be fucking hilarious.

Anyway a kid in front of me was playing Mario Party DS the other day (best Mario Party game since the N64 ones imo) and a thought popped in my head that they should make a Mario Party game for the Wii that would have a bunch of the minigames from the N64 MP games, a nice selection of characters (MP8's selection wasn't bad), including full Mii capability, and online play.
But then I remember that if they're too lazy to animate a dress they're probably too lazy to make a good Mario Party game.

I'm afraid Nintendo and IGN contradicted whatever was posted in "Charles" twitter. We're getting a remake of Excitebike for WiiWare.

Also it's so easy to get a Twitter and pose as an imposter.

Anyway this doesn't actually look bad. The NES version never was one of my top games but I somewhat enjoyed it. Also with online play, and them sticking to the old playing style, I'll probably get it. Maybe.

Galaxy was not a casual game its a "Bridge" game. A game in between casual and hardcore.

Aside from the fact that mario party games suck (aside from the minigames. I'd play a compilation of all the minigames if it came out for wiiware or something, but the board game part and whatever else is in the game sucks)

The Mario Party games have always been really fun. If you've not been enjoying them, I'd strongly suppose it's because you're playing by yourself.
Aside from that, renditions like MP 4, 8, and DS were necessary because hey, you're not guaranteed to have an older version and the console to play it on. 8's boards were nice and varied - the Haunted House stage that re-shuffles every time that star is obtained (and the complexity of the house changes depending on the number of turns the game lasts for, natch) is badass, and my personal favourite.

I love playing Mario Party with friends. Me and my bros used to play MP2 like, once a week.
