His tails can only relate to Kirby's floating in one way, that it in the air. Tail's tails are a constant motion, with smooth travel. Kirby's floats are limited extra jumps, with changes in momentum and size, all effecting the movement. If we made that his double jump, then it:
-would upset mobility;
-not even be a jump;
-completely nerf is abilities.
If we did use it as a jump it would have to be a hover like Peach and not like Kirby.

Tails FLYS he doesn't GLIDE or HOVER. It makes no sense to make him hover like Peach.
And it would work by just pressing jump to get higher untill he gets tired.
Oh yeah, Pit can fly normally, why shouldn't Tails be able to?
I guess i was imagining him hovering in sonic 2.

Because it would make more sense. Tails has 2 tails not wings.
Heheh I still think Billy Hatcher would make an awesome character. I can think of a pretty cool and unique moveset for him.

i'd personally prefer Ryo Hazuki than any other SEGA character
it'd be fun to create his moveset

anyway, about Tails, we should remember that to create a character's moveset, the Smash Bros series uses moves from all games of a character. Some of Sonic's moves are inspired by Sonic Battle and Sonic the Fighters for instance.

and we should remember that Tails has a game all about him that should be used to create his moveset

B = his Tail attack from Sonic Adventure, highly spammable, but very weak

Forward B = ChuChu Bombs from Sonic Battle, or his Normal Bomb from Tails' Adventure. Or even Amy's Piko-Piko Hammer, which is also a weapon on Tails' Adventure

Up B = Propeller Tails a.k.a. Flying. Much like Pit's Up+B.

Down B = His "hook punch" attack from Sonic Battle (would circle him, like Dedede's Jet Hammer) or that attack of him from Sonic Battle that he summons a giant glove that does a powerful flick (would work like Din's Fire, but can only work over surfaces)

But about Tails' Final Smash... Guys, you're thinking way too much about the Tornado. There's another not-that-famous mech from Sonic Chaos and Tails' Adventure:

[Image: 850px-Ta_jp_manual_08_09.jpg]

The Sea Fox (Sea Tail in Japanese). It has a wide array of attacks in Tails' Adventure that we can use:

The Vulcan (rapid fire gun), Proton Torpedos, Taikuu Missiles (missiles that are fired upward), Kirai (mines) and Dengeki (an electrical field around the ship).
Plus the drill in front of it that can deal damage to foes.

Smash attacks and normal attacks can be based upon Sonic Battle and Sonic the Fighters. Like for instance, his Up or Down Grab can be an attack from Sonic the Fighters that Tails lifts his foe by flying up and drops it on the ground.
But it's a submarine.
In Tails' Adventure there is a powerup that makes the Sea Fox fly like a jet, and is used in the first boss battle.
That would be cool. It's also more tied to Tails than the mech.
i love all of your ideas, rokkan. my vote goes to the sea fox.
I think his standard B attack should be something more like the boxing glove from SA2:B. Like, if you guys remember, in that game if you got too close to your enemy the Tornado would actually unleash a springy boxing glove and punch the enemy away. I think something like this (although using a jack-in-the-box or actually springloading Tails' fist) would be better than the Tail Spin, which would be better for Smash.

That would be basically the same attack than Sonic Battle's Hook Punch. That I actually suggested to be Tails' B+V (although I'd prefer it to be a Smash Attack and have the flicking giant hand as Tails' B+V). A character's B attack must be something directly characteristic to it, and I don't think a springing boxing glove defines Tails, specially because this will be Tails Kirby's ability. Plus, this is an attack from Tails' mech, not Tails himself.
For his Smash-B what if he tosses the Omochao and controls it like Ness and the PK Thunder? Tails can be stationary with a control stick and move it around. But you can choose if you want to throw it like a bomb (smash B) or control it (Smash B and then again before it explodes, maybe?). Just an idea. It would also give us the chance to use Omochao's voice clips as he explodes.
That's so mean to Omochao. Blow up a real Chao instead :p

I'm not sure on using Omochao as a grenade/rocket/thing. I don't think Tails ever manipulated it.
No, but it is a Sonic item and it is mechanical... I just think it works better than a Chuchu or punching glove or hammer (which would be better for Knuckles or Amy) or a giant finger that... flicks you.
