Alright I have a question does Geno really need to be considered 3rd party? I thought it was both Nintendo and Square Enix that made the game.

He's Currently Property of Square Enix, As it states in then End Credits in MLSS,
Give me a Moment, I'll come up with a great character and moveset...
Spriting, Not so much :\
Yeah, I'm not worried about a Geno moveset. It's the semantics with him that need addressing the most.

Wait What?
Semantics?
Explain for me Please. I'm very helpless.

the meaning, or an interpretation of the meaning, of a word, sign, sentence, etc.: Let's not argue about semantics.

In this case, 1st or 3rd party?
Well, I may as well give it a go.

All of her weapons are stored in a remote location that teleport to her for use, allowing her to use all of her arsenal however she needs to.

Ah,
I get it.
That is a Problem.
It's 3rd Party Company wise.
Doesn't Square have it's own Symbol Logo?
Not gonna lie.

Angelglory has me sold on the KOS-MOS idea.

Mainly because he included a COMPLETE movelist.
Awesome work on that Moveset.
It's a good moveset, but I'm still not sold on KOS-MOS

mainly because I think there are more deserving Namco characters. Also Xenosaga has only been on one Nintendo system game, and that was a port of the first two games.
While Xenosaga itself has only been on the DS, KOS-MOS has appeared in Namco games on the GBA, DS and Gamecube if I recall correctly.
Once again I nominate Rayman

VVV Click for moveset (VERY large though); inspired by my SSF2 Rayman VVV
I'll have a sample sprite soon. Should I use his head for a series logo or the O on his shirt?
I think Geno should be considered third-party, because as Ariand said, as it specifically stated that he was Square's property in the credits of MLSS, regardless of the fact that he had a tiny role in MLSS, and that Nintendo licensed SMRPG.

On another note, I see absolutely no reason why characters like Pichu are needed (wasn't he removed for being a clone anyway), and I'm getting very annoyed by how much attention minor characters are getting in this project. The way I see it, SSBM had 6 characters out of 25 that were the sole representatives of their series (Samus, Kirby, C.Falcon, Ness, Ice Climbers, G&W), and SSBB had 9 out of 35 (Samus, C.Falcon, Ice Climbers, G&W, Pit, ROB, Olimar, Snake, Sonic), only 2 of which were third-party. On that track, no more than 12-15 out of the 50-ish planned for this project should be the single representatives for their series, 5 at most being third-party. Unless we're going for "Super Smash Bros.+++ Representing Every Nintendo and Non-Nintendo Series Ever Made", that is. I could attempt to make a moveset explaining why I think Dr. Mario deserves a spot in such an expansive roster, but I know nothing'd ever get accomplished anyway, and as he is a clone, I'm all right with not having him.

I think this is the perfect roster. Especially if we want to get **** done.

Oh, how true.
Maybe both of these taken to an extreme, but there's a valid truth here. We've essentially obliterated the idea behind past rosters and made this Fantasy Smash 5.0.
obviously i want joe in but travis and kosmos would also be super awesome. honestly, we aren't nintendo. we should be going for fun characters gameplay wise with representation taking a back seat imo.
