The idea for Lolo is bad, at least that's what people have been saying for the last howevermany months.

Why, he was in Nintendo's first fighting game. He would be one of the most logical choices since HE WAS IN AN ACTUAL FIGHTING GAME

What does having been in a fighting game have to do with anything? How many of the current Smash Bros cast are from fighting games?

None. So he'd be unique.

Okay actually I dont have an arguement anymore.

:/
If Goroh's out, then Travis is my next pick.
My reason for excluding Travis from the game is somewhat perplexing, even to myself.

It's just that he's so......random. I mean, I thought Snake was random, but Travis would just be a little weird; a rather obscure character, in my opinion. That works for first and second party, though third party is a whole 'nother field...

I'm pretty sure he'd make a great character (I've never played No More Heroes, so I trust you guys Genki ^_^), but since auditions for this game's roster are pretty strict, I think we should come up with a different character, preferably one that a more "common gamer" (not meaning "casual") would notice.

On a more personal note, he's certainly not a character I'd picture in an actual Smash game for quite some time. I can picture something like Mario vs. Sonic, or Snake vs. C.Falcon, or Marina vs. Ness, but not something like Travis Touchdown vs. Marth, or Travis vs. Link. He hasn't any matchups I'd look forward to Tongue lol
What about like Travis v Samus or Travis v Fox? Eh. The Fox matchup isn't that good...but I could picture the one with Samus.
Goroh or Travis, Goroh all the way. The fire stingray was always my favourite vehicle and the moveset seems pretty solid. Aside from "he's badass and has a lazersword!" I haven't seen anything remotelly compelling for Travis. I think he would be much better suited to an assist trophy. Hell, if Goroh gets in he can take Gorohs place in the ATs.
So what happened to waiting to seeing what the currently confirmed roster was...?
Fuck waiting. We're not Richard Marx.

Anyway, if we're going with crackpot characters from an obscure company (seeing as Marvelous DOES NOT OWN TRAVIS), here's one of mine:

Jade

Yeah, bitch, I said that!

B: Photograph
Stuns enemies in the direction you shoot.

>B: Gyrodisk Launcher
Shoot a gyrodisk in the directiono you shoot. Can be curved upwards or downwards.

^B: Charge Attack
Jumps up in the air, and crashes down again. Tap B to shoot spheres while jumping up.

vB: (Swing Toss)
Hits the Dai-Jo staff on the ground, causing everybody in a small area to get launched up for a small bit. A second B-tap swings the staff, causing everybody that gets hit to get launched.

Final Smash: (Heart of the DomZ / True Heritage)
Jade will float around. Every tap in one direction will instantly teleport Jade in that direction. Attacking will either cause stun, massive damage or inverted movement on the opponent. At the end there's an area discharge, which knocks out everybody in the area, or at least launches them.

This shows off most of his special moves; it's enough to make a move list off of. Plus I've played and beaten the game multiple times; trust me, there's some pretty cool shit that he does that ISN'T in this video.
And wait... exactly what is the reason that we can't have both characters?
Well I don't pick characters by what cool moves they have either. If that was the case we'd have a crazy list of characters.

You guys are picking Travis only because he's cool and has a cool moveset. But there's more to it than that.

I honestly can't explain how hard I just laughed at this.

You pretty much said being likable and having a good moveset is not enough to qualify.
Yeah. Its not.
Please explain what is.

I am dead serious I honestly don't know.
If we chose characters by their popularity and moveset alone we'd end up replacing Sonic with Shadow, and throw Sora in there while were add it!

So tell me? Why do we have Sonic in the game over Shadow? Shadow is certainly popular enough. He probabably would have a better moveset than Sonic too.

Then what's the reason?

Sonic is more important than Shadow. That's why. He's an icon, a historic figure. His role in the video game world is far superior than Sora or any one of the like.

That is more important than popularty. Who they are.
