It's not "making the quality worse", it's "fucking up the quality in the name of art". Kind of like how Quentin Tarantino used this technique to give his Death Proof an authentic look.
But Tarantino is overrated.
Just because we're using sprites doesn't mean we should dumb down the sound. That's a terrible idea.
How does Falco having an Italian voice make it better?
Well it's more distinct from before, for one. It's also the most current version of the character, so it seems to be where Nintendo wants to take him. Also, it's an actual voice as opposed to just grunts, which he had in Melee. Is it the best voice? no. But it's more useful and interesting than the other option.
why isn't falco french? that would actually be badass

That's what I've been trying to say all this time!
Well, not all this time, apparently I haven't stated on this board that Tarantino is overrated, but still.

To me it sounds more Brooklyn than Italian
Still not fitting in the slightest...
Guys forget the nationality of falcon's voice and decide on where you'll find it, be it an Italian or a videogame.

To match the graphics quality probably. It would feel like you're emulating a handheld game or something

No. That makes no sense. It's not a handheld game.
Ah you know it uses sprites. Games with sprites usually have poor sound quality get it?
I understand what Koopaul is saying, and I think it could work. It'll give that 'emulated game' feeling, and I like it.
