Rings have never electrocuted.

General idea for Layton's stance and colors.. if only I had a decent ref of him..

Ring could heal 10%, and all you have two do is touch them.

lol This may be kinda random, but I think Tails's Rhythm Badge from Sonic Adventure/DX would be pretty awesome! It could be a continuous, spinning, barely-controllable multi-hit attack, a bit like the Super Spicy Curry, expect you can't attack and the item's attack is physical rather than projectile.

Also, as far as characters, does anyone mind if I help out with Claus/Masked Man or Megaman?

Marina looks awesome BTW. I liked the old one, too, though

Rings would be cool as heal items; as long as they're spurted out in bundles of about twenty or so and heal about 1 or 2%. They would also be cool as some sort of "Skin" for coins in coin matches XD

Which is a good thing because you don't want one sticking out of style, it'll look wierd.

I prefer the older one, honestly. Cartoony does not mean bad. I think Mario could stand to be a bit more cartoony, in fact. If you're going to redo Marina, I'd try to make the eyes closer to the old one at least.

@gorsal, the colors and size looks better in the newer one (Wavey version), while the pose and eyes are better in the first one.
