Hey everybody, I'm new to spriting, so take it easy on me. =P
This is probably my largest edit/custom I've done and I'd like some C+C before I continue.
Credit to #SAM# for his mario (on left)
I used his sprite largely on the face (couldn't get it in style xD) and his shoes (looked kind of lame without it)
Thanks a lot everyone =]

Really? I wasn't familiar with it either...except when I found #SAM#'s mario sheet, that's the style he said it was in.
What style is it? xD

Haha, well, I was just going off what I saw...maybe I misinterpreted what it was...nevertheless, my bad. xD
What do you think of it, though? You sound like you know what you're doing. xD
Edit -
Here's what made me think it was called that:

The shading my be Tales of, but shading's not all that defines a style, the proportions of the style are way off.

Yeah, I think it's supposed to be that way. You know, to emphasize different things, such as #SAM# did on Mario's hands.
What do you think I can do to improve it? I'm not so happy with the hands or the shading on the pants...

This feels like Tales, and altering Mario or Luigi's proportions would probably leave them unrecognizable. All in all, i think this is pretty awesome.
Sorry for my mistakes on english, people..... I am Brazilian, and to worsen that... i learnt english playing Final Fantasy and asking my mother.
EDIT: Now, 4 years have passed, and I`m an english teacher.

Nice, it's called "Tales of the World"
http://www.spriters-resource.com/resources/tut/totw/ I don't know if this is BB Code. But that should work.

Thanks man, I'm actually almost done spriting peach right now (guess I'm inspired by Mario characters xD) and I'm having a bit of trouble on the head.
The tutorial should help me, though. =]

Luigi's nose should be bigger.

Yeah, Luigi's nose is smaller than mario's, right?
If I made his nose any bigger (1 pixel) It would be the same size as Mario's. =\
Edit - Hey guys, I'm also attempting Peach, but I really can't seem to get the head right...
If anyone would like to edit it, it's fair game. =]
(I put it in a bounding box where the tip of her crown should touch, that way, she will be proportional to Mario and Luigi.)
