Sami new design [?]

Anyone else say 4rth version?

As for Koki, can't believe I did not catch that shirt stuff, I guess I was real sleepy when I made the model last night.

Anyway, removed the collar and brightened up the green a bit.

3/4 trousers actually sounds like it would look alright, I'll try it out later.

Rokkan, uhh I'll mess with the colors some time soon.

Just IMO, the pure white hair with the brown hair is kind of hard to look at. I would go for a beige or blonde for the lighter/white color (similar to the contrast of the hair of Hikaru from Hikaru No Go).

Otherwise, no problems, I like it.

Some variations in color by texture.

Take Guy 3, but make the hat-strap black/dark grey. That t-shirt needs edging around the neck, either a semicircle or v-cut. The shoes can remain black.

Take Girl 3, but replace the white on her trousers with the blue from 4. Eveything else about the jeans should stay the same. That jumper still needs edging to it, it looks flat as it is.

In Koki (I guess that's his name?) pick number two, lighten up more the green and dark up a lot more the brown (or just try darkening up a lot more the brown). But if you also choose to light up the green, that also means you need to make his long sleeves brown, or else the light green will blend too much with the white. I think the inversed hat will look better with this.

As with Sami, I say number two. Or a number one with the blue stripes on her shirt being more dark (the dark shade of her blue shoe is the color that I'm thinking of)

Koki still looks more detailed than Sami. Sami doesn't have a hat, nor a jacket. Try taking off some details out of Koki and adding something (as small as it may be) to Sami.

Another good thing to have in mind is about what exactly are the essence of those characters, what are their appeal? Are their appeal to be a double? Is Koki/Sami's main characteristic to be something naive, pure? Or to be something more energetic and adventurous? Try to build their design over their most important characteristic. Good character designs can illustrate a character's personality and appeal by just looking at it.

You guys mean something like these?

BTW, are you guys tired of my commentary?

Rokkan, Yes, Koki has more detail then Sami still, but the simpler I make his design the more similar it is to that of Sami... Maybe it's just me, but I find that it is a lot better to have a simple design for a girl then it is for a boy. It just seems that for boys the line between nice and too plane is ultra fine.

Also, Koki is more introverted and careful, while Sami is carefree and cheerful.

if koki is more introverted I would consider changing the shape of his eyes, something a bit more tired looking to just something less cute in general.

on sami I think if you gave her a belt to go around her midsection outside of her shirt it would add a little more character to her.

something like this http://styletips101.com/wp-content/uploa...t-belt.jpg

Honestly all I think the jumper needs is the hemming detailed in, like how the guy has his jacket edged. A waist belt would be stylish, but not really the look of an "all action girl".

It's spelled Khaki, btw.

He never really said she was an "all action girl" though, just said she was carefree and cheerful.

Well maybe introverted was not the best word, like what I meant by that was that he is shy and reserved, and bad at starting conversations, but if one talks to him he would first make a face as he tries to think of something to say back, then after a short pause would quietly reply. He is supposed to be very sincere.

I am not too sure what you mean by "all action girl" but she is much more about action then Koki, and a lot more sporsty and excited as well which will also be expressed in the game play, as Sami's movements are very choppy, with razor sharp changes, while Koki's are more relaxed and smoothly executed. She does like the action genera most though.

ohhhh what is this

Give Sami a hoodie, that turtleneck is incredibly plain. It's easy, just draw a hood behind her head. If you wanna get weeaboo like you do, make it a cat-ears hoodie.

Koki looks fine. Carrot/Original Koki is OK
give him freckles or something, though. Both Koki and Sami's faces look very plain. :/

I'm not going to promote facial/body piercing. Freckles never look good on characters, facial piercings look even worse. You guys better be joking, because is there anything unusual about a character drawn like these having a plain face, no? I mean it's hard for me to think of a many Japanese video game characters who don't have plain faces.
Like Suguri http://media.ign.com/games/image/object/...t_160w.jpg
Or any Touhou character.
