The thing about Mike Jones is that there's an incredible similarity to him and Ness when it come to movesets hm?

Now, I know I'm not overly active here, but I figured my two-cents may be of some use.

Note that I don't particularity want any character over any other, so I will be doing my best to leave out my personal fandoms out of this. I'm not trying to DREAM ROSTER LOL with this post, and is moreso based how Nintendo might think.(to the best of my ability)

DEFINITE CHARACTERS (Mostly agreeing with Ton's first post)
Mario
Luigi
Bowser
Peach
Yoshi
Wario
Donkey Kong
Diddy Kong
Link
Zelda/Sheik
Ganondorf
Samus/Zero Suit Samus
Pikachu
Jigglypuff
Kirby
Meta Knight
King Dedede
Fox
Falco
Ness
Lucas
Pit
Captain Falcon
Olimar
Ice Climbers
Marth
Ike
Mr. Game and Watch
ROB (While I'm personally a bit on the fence about it, I would think that Nintendo would like to keep their favorite cameoing toy in the game series.)

CHARACTERS TO VOTE ON
-Doctor Mario - No. (It should, if anything, be an alternate costume/skin for Mario.)
-Pichu - No. (Pichu never seemed to have much of a fanbase from what I've noticed, and was more of a gimic than other clones, it seems.)
Pokemon Trainer/Charizard/Ivysaur/Squirtle - Yes. (I would think Nintendo would keep Pokemon Trainer, as it represents their first pokemon games. To remove Pokemon Trainer would likely piss off more people than please whoever would want him removed)
-Mewtwo/Lucario - No/Not sure (A No would be because both are pokemon heavily featured in both the games and movies, and there's a chance that there could be a similar pokemon in the future to get alot of game and movie attention.) / (If there is no new "Badass Pokemon" by the time the game would come out, it'd be an incredibly debatable decision to pick, one, the other, or use both. I honestly have no idea what Sakurai would do if there wasn't a new "Badass Pokemon" at the time.)
-Toon/Young Link - Yes, No/ Maybe both.[heavy leaning towards a no.] (Toon Link is already more accepted than Young Link it seems, and has more games to back it up. Toon Link also played more different from his counterpart than Young Link did.) / (A snowball's chance would be to include Young Link with a much different moveset, more inspired from Majora's Mask. Even if 60% of fans demanded it, I think that Sakurai would still consider leaving Young Link out.)
-Wolf - Not sure, leaning to Yes. (While there are some who see Wolf as just another Fox clone, he has alot of popularity among the "tourneyfag" community from what I've noticed)
-Roy - Not sure, leaning towards No. (As much as I like Roy and dislike Ike as characters, Ike has very effectively replaced Roy as the heavy-hitting representer of Fire Emblum. Ike plays less of a clone than Roy did, and still has many Roy-like features. Ike may just be the most successful case of decloning a clone-character in Brawl.)

THIRD PARTY CHARACTERS
Snake and Sonic - Yes (If you're going to have ANY third-party characters, it would be foolish and reek of fanfaggery to remove the original two.)

POSSIBLE ADDITIONAL CHARACTERS
(This section will play a bit differently.)
Nintendo
-Paper Mario- (He's unique enough to have his own moveset built for him. I'd bet Mr.Game and Watch wouldn't like him too much though. 8D)
-Paper Luigi- (This is asking for too much.)
-Baby Mario and Baby Luigi- (I take that back; this is asking for too much. No need for a rippoff of the Ice Climbers.)
-Toad- (Toad has essentially become itemized in the last some years. While it might be possible to build a movelist for him, he kinda would be "just there.")
-Bowser Jr.- (As much as I dislike the character, I do think that with the right amount of creativity, he could be made into a good fighter. He's recently been featured in more of the main games, so it may be expected to see him.)
-Waluigi- (Too underdeveloped of a character to be playable. He has no existence outside the sports and party games.)
-Dixie Kong- (She sounds like she would be a Diddy Kong clone, really. )
-King K. Rule- (I'd have no idea where to start on a movelist myself, but he could be a pretty cool villain to play as.)
-Toon Zelda/Tetra- (She isn't really needed that much. Normal Zelda/Sheik can at least fend for herself.)
-Ridley- (As much as I would like to see him as a playable character, he just seems too big in comparison to the other characters.)
-Gooey- (If any character would be Dreamland's 4th contender, there really isn't anyone more suited than Gooey. It could really work as an interesting and fun character if done right. Besides that, I think that many of you TSRer's have kinda decided that he's going to be in.)
-Lolo- (Not much fallowing, from what I've researched. I'd say "no-no" to Lolo.)
-Meowth- (Only really has fame in the anime. Pikachu at least received vast promotion outside the anime.)
-Other Pokemon Trainer(s)- (If it were to be done, it would have to simply be extra costumes for Pokemon Trainer.)
-Krystal- (If Wolf is to be removed, certainly replace him with Krystal. If he's not, she should still be highly considered, as Starfox needs a different character this time around.)
-Panther- (No, we do not need another Fox-clone.)
-Samurai Goroh-(Captain Falcon is the only representative for the F-Zero series, but adding another character might work. If done right, Goroh could be a rather interesting character)
-Paula- (If Ness and Lucas are made to be more unique from eachother, she may not be needed, seeing as she would likely just be another PSI clone)
-Claus (as Masked Man)- ((He would likely just be a clone of Lucas, but with shield-breaking abilities I guess.))

-Starfy- (From what I've researched, Starfy can only really attack by spinning. I'm not sure how you could develop an interesting movelist for him. I have my doubts, but then again, my knowledge on the games is limited.)
-Issac- (A very developed character with a variety of traits. Could very likely be made into an effective character.)
-Little Mac- (Your average-Joe with boxing gloves. Actually, I don't know about how he could be made into a playable fighter. I would think that he's stuck as an Assist Trophy, though.)
-Sukapon- ((To be honest I have no idea who this is, so I will not comment on it))
-Saki Amamiya- ((Another character I don't know about. Keeping my hands off.))
-Mii- (If this were to actually be for the Wii with the graphics and such, I'd say "maybe," but as a sprite-based game, what's the point of playing as a Mii if you aren't really going to be able to customize it?)

SEGA
-Shadow the Hedgehog- (Even if you were going to have a second character from the same third party, there are likely better choices than Shadow.)
-Silver the Hedgehog- (Asking way too much.)
-Temjin from Virtual ON- (Got to be in Super Robot Wars.)

Konami
-Simon Belmont- (I would think he would play something kinda like how Link uses his items for his Specials.)

Capcom
-Megaman- (While a fairly expected choice, picking which version to use must be taken into consideration. Volnutt/Trigger has already appeared in Namco X Capcom and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Megaman.EXE was in Onimusha Blade Warriors, and Megaman from Starforce hasn't been around that long. This leaves Megaman and X. Both are fair choices, but I'll let you discuss this yourselves)
-Viewtiful Joe- (He got a role in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, and Megaman may be more deserving of a role in a Smash Bros. game.)

SquareEnix
-Geno - (While I have no clue about if Nintendo even have the full rights to, or could get full rights to Geno, I would think that he has enough fallowing to warrant a spot as a playable character. I think people would be more upset than glad if you decided not to include him.)
-Mallow- (If you included Geno as a playable character, it would mean Mallow would be the last SMRPG character. I wouldn't think that he'd be played too much if made into a fighter. Maybe an Assist Trophy would be more suiting for him?)
-Marina - (if this is the Marina from Mischief Makers, the fan in me would most certainly say "YES PLEASE," but I'm not sure if Nintendo would use her. She has more of a cult-fallowing than anything, and isn't known as well among the younger/casual gamers of today's market. Also, Mischief Makes was co-published by Enix.)

Namco
-Pac-Man- (While Pac-man may be a good idea, it should be noted that in his games that he has alot of Sonic-like abilities, including rippoffs of the Spin Dash and Bounce Attack. Leave the Sonic-clone to a Sonic character. :v)
-Cress Alvein- (While Cress could very well fit in Smash Bros, there's also already plenty of Nintendo sword-users in it.)
-KOS-MOS- (KOS-MOS, on the other hand, has many different sorts of weapons and abilities. While she has no where near as many cameos as Cress, Namco has been giving her more exposure.)

Hudson
-Bomberman- (I think that Bomberman could work ether really well or really poorly. Bombs, bombs, and more bombs, this is another one to take heavy consideration upon.)

Other
-Earthworm Jim- (As groovy it would be to have him, I wouldn't think he'd belong.)
-Any anime-origin characters- (No. They are not videogame characters.)
-Crash- (No. Sorry, but he has little business in Smash Bros. The series seems to have fallen from grace anyway.)
-Spyro- (No. Sorry, but he has little business in Smash Bros. The series seems to have fallen from grace anyway.)
-Ratchet and Clank- (No. Sorry, but they have little business in Smash Bros.)
-Jak and Daxter-(No. Sorry, but they have little business in Smash Bros.)
-Master Cheif- (No. Sorry, but he has no business in Smash Bros.)

I know that this isn't on the vote list but I would like to see master hand as a Playable Character. I dunno why, you could just reduce the size to fit with Bowser and Donkey Kong, The Same with Ridley.

If you see what I mean.
FUCK YOU ALL

Yea, I think Ridley should down-sized to about Bowser/DK height. I think we could probably get away with it, too....maybe...iono....but I think we could because characters like Petey Piranha has been down-sized a few times just to be able to hold a golf club, or kick a soccer ball, or ride a go-kart. It wouldn't hurt too bad for Ridley to be down-sized to go a few rounds with Samus or any other character ;]. But then again, Ridley's suppose to be at least 3x Samus's height. That would be kinda weird. Then I could counter my counter-statement by saying that in the first Metroid, Ridley was about the same height, if not shorter than Samus. lol (I'm rambling, I know)

Also, for Star Fox characters, I still support Leon (maybe if Krystal doesn't get in), especially since he's the only veteran Star Wolf character, besides Wolf himself. We could also base some of his attacks off of Busuzima from Bloody Roar, especially since there's an extremely high chance that he won't even be in.

No. Master Hand has never been playable by normal means for a reason.

Ridley: Was only about the size of Samas in the NES games due to graphical/programing limitations.

Leon: See my reasoning against Panther. If there's going to be a new character from Starfox, it's most likely going to be Krystal.

Starfox doesn't need another character. RIght now, there's 6 Starfox games and 3 series reps. There's 6 F-Zero games and only one rep, and 3 Kirby reps with 20 games. I know its more based off of the series's popularity than the number of games, but StarFox just isn't a big enough series to have 4 characters. Its barely, if even at all, important enough for 3.

Why not just make a specail brawl call boss clash. You play as bosses instead of normal characters.

That is a hoirrble idea.

Master Hand will not end up playable.

Plase, stop requesting bad ideas.

If there was going to be another Metroid character it would be Ridley but for some reason everyone thinks size is an issue in a game where Olimar's size has increased dramatically. And Pikachu too.

Just No please no we can't have bosses as playable characters for three reason's

1.All Bosses don't have damage meters they have life bars their's goes down and our's comes up!
2.Way too overpowered bosses would be overpowered for other characters and plus their moves would be faster from button mashing constantly instead of in Brawl they simply take a quick second before they attack.
3.Also the bosses would be to large for the characters to play as even if we do change our minds (Which we won't) there is no way we would resize the characters just for you to play as a Boss!

We are trying to keep away from resizing like Smash Flash 2 and I'm sure they are probably gonna have Bosses playable I bet you! But still no Bosses as playable's it just wouldn't make sense.

Not if the level is a HUGE platform.
Any ways, can master hand move around and not just sit there, he moves around an turns around frequently in the origanal smash.

Bowser has changed his size in several games, I don't see why Ridley can't do the same... He was shown as around the same size as Samus in the opening to melee, why couldn't he be downsized to what he was on the original Metroid?
