I do use DA a lot and even I didn't understood the comparison.
We already have a "Preview Post", and it's quite pretty much as the DA's.

I think he wanted a rich text editor.

Hey, what if we could tag sprite sheets, so that searching is more comprehensive.

Take this sheet for example. Although Luigi's sprites are available, the sheet doesn't appear when "Luigi" is entered into the search bar. However, if it were tagged as "Luigi", it would come up on the search.

Making staff tag 25,000 sheets isn't going to happen.
Allowing users to tag sheets will get abused within seconds.

Now that we have the Next/Prev feature, why not have them made into buttons instead of just plain text. It looks boring.

Is it possible to search for authors like "Ragey"? For example, I knew he ripped some battle chars, but I don't remember the game xD

The only way I know is writing down the name of the authors, like this:

Being able to put a video in like in some forums.

We're going to have a sort of "submitter directory" which lists all the submitters, sort of similar to the text view of a console page.

imo this is a horrible idea.. it would just lag up people with slow internet connections.

ontopic, i think we should be able to use html in the usertitle box, for colored text 'n stuffs.

1) Only if the vids were set to automatically play after the Youtube controls load. Otherwise nothing else loads except for a preview image until you manually hit play.

2) Bad idea as it would be a security risk. Somebody could use HTML to hack the usertitles in order to break into the forums to steal information, hijack accounts, and/or to deface the forums.

if nothing else, bbcode should be allowed, since html is too risky, as ngamer said

as for the youtube thing, if it were to be taken into consideration, perhaps an option in the user cp can make it so you can choose whether or not you want to video to appear as links or the videos themselves?

I'm not a fan of the video thing - personally, I don't see much use for it on here. Sure, sometimes, but a link suffices that issue really.

As for BBcode or HTML for user titles, I'm giving a direct firm no way right now. I don't want to see people with size 60 text in their user titles.

BBCode in user titles is a terrible idea.

Here's a crazy suggestion just for the hell of it. Why not put a system icon next to each section. You know right next to where it says NES you put a tiny NES picture next to it. For example:

Arcade
Custom/ Edited
DS
Gameboy
Gameboy Advance
Genesis
Mobile Phone
NES
Other Systems
PC/ Computer
PSX/ PS2
SNES


Just a silly idea.
