Is anyone against this? If not, I think we could set this as semi-official until be get some sort of leader to emerge and confirm it.
Thank you God Ninspriter!
no strikes....
(Note from RTB: For future reference, the strikeout is just "s", not "strike".)

Though as far as this particular sprite goes, I think it needs some work. It doesn't look quite enough like Mario, mainly the face. Shading could use some major improvement.
Also second one's pose is better.
I don't think we should use an excessive amount of shades, to make it easier for others to sprite.

Huh? I said that the shading needs to be improved on that sprite, not to add shades to the style.

Also second one's pose is better. The amount of shades is just fine. Another shade would kill the style, especially considering the size.

I am stupid not observant.
Another mostly like failed attempt.
New on left.
Older and most likely better on right.

Okay, look, you all are misunderstanding what I said. Let me rephrase it:
The shading on this particular Mario sprite needs work. The amount of shades on the sprite is fine.
...
I'm starting to think I should just try to fix this thing myself.

Do it. I'll just keep making it worse.

Looks great, though I think we could scale back on the eyes a bit.

Now we're getting there Ridge! Though I think the nose is too big or the mustache is too small. Basically the nose to stache ratio is off. That's more like a Luigi stache size.

I think deciding whether to use that style is a bit important than making sure that particular sprite is perfect. ...Just sayin'.
