And what would be the best way to make a palette?

I failed at the face. Someone help me?
Any my shading and colors are probably a bit off.

what I did for Yoshi, I used the official artwork's lighter shade, put it on Yoshi, then I went to photoshop, made a lighter shade of the same color, and added some darker shades to it.

Yoshi's limbs' shading don't match the rest, or at least don't appear to.

Luigi's arms should be edited into his battle stances. Not to his side.

And his arms/shoulders are too round.
