Damn Nintendo for adding third parties in the first place. We'd probably have an easier time if their weren't any. But what can you do.

I think Neku from The World Ends with You is better to represent Square than Sora. (wait, a Choboco?! Sora and Neku [I always wanted to see them dish-out at eachother].)
Also if we ever had to replace Toon Link with another LoZ character, it better be Skull Kid w/ Majora's Mask.

Honestly gender isn't as important as whether or not the character is a video game (mainly Nintendo) "All-Star."

But, if we're still going for unrepresented Nintendo series characters, (I hope so) how about Lip, from Panel de Pon? She's female, and she's from an unrepresented series. Her stick thing has even been an item since Melee.

Also, something I realized; Jill is a cool character and all, but how will using items work with her? Will she hold them from inside her drill thing? Come to think of it, how is Porky supposed to use items?

Or, we could use artistic licensing for both of them (adding an extra grabber arm, using one of the arms (leg for Porky) to morph into something that can hold an item, etc.) Really, when something really doesn't look like it would work perfectly, you can just change a few things. Both Melee and Brawl did that here and there.


On another note, I really want to get rid of Roy. No one has come up with any real reason why he should stay, other than the fact that he was in Melee.

outside that, this roster is pretty great! loved the 3rd party character choice ( even though I'll miss Viewtiful Joe >: )

You're right about Ray MK
but I don't think Ashley is deserving and Treasure would have two characters if we include Saki

I took out Gooey for Ray and replaced Roy with Lyn

Not if you're clever about it because everyone would hate to play as Marth cause all his moves are a sword or Little Mac because all his moves are punches.

Dude, Bomberman is only fun in mutliplayer, you'd have to use moves from his shitty adventure games nobody on Earth cares about. I have nothing against Bomberman as a character, but his inclusion doesn't seem warrented or like it would work.

Roy and Pichu don't need to be removed because they can be tweaked and have been in a Smash game before. They're already more honored and deserving than any character you guys added.

Why should Gooey be removed? He's the only Kirby character who is playable in a prominate Kirby game to not be on the roster already. Plus, the Kirby franchise has had way more games than Star Fox. Star Fox has five games and they get four characters why Kirby gets three? No thanks.

Ton's roster was the best so far, all you guys are doing is screwing it up and making it harder to get anything accomplished.

Stop arguing, start spriting.

Bomberman has a lot of games with a lot of different characters and gameplay styles that we can port to his moveset. Even if all of his attacks are about bombs, they'll probably work very different within one another if we make good use out of the character. Plus, not warranted? He had been through nearly all Nintendo consoles ever created. Play Bomberman Saturn and Bomberman Racing for a taste of the potential of the character.

Gabby:
Sin & Punishment is a Nintendo game. Just because it was made in a collaborative effort with Treasure and we have a Treasure character already is a stupid reason not to put a Sin & Punishment character, specially considering how Sin & Punishment 2 just got out of Japan. It'd be like saying that we can't have K.Rool and Krystal at the same roster just because they're both Rare characters!
And Gooey is the shit. His full moveset and sprites are already done, and it works wonders. We shouldn't take him off.
The WarioWare series should have a second character. We can be very inventive over Ashley's moveset, and it'd be a very different character, it has potential.

But he's hardly a relevant character in the world of gaming. I mean, Bomberman and Hudson are hardly as icon or important as say, Mario, Megaman, Sonic and Snake. He doesn't fit in that mold the way you all seem to think he does.

I say we just drop all third parties but Snake and Sonic. Then you can all quit whining and maybe do something productive.

I don't really care about Black Mage, Marina and Travis but I don't give a damn who the other three third party characters are as long as Bomberman and the video game legend are there.

Look, this topic has gotten us nowhere and will continue to go no where because there will never be a roster everyone will agree with. It's impossible. Too many members have been arguing about everything that it's not gonna happen. What needs to happen is Ton, despite the fact that I know he doesn't want to, needs to put his foot down, say "This is the roster, live with it." and lock this topic cause it's gotten nowhere.
