Well, here we'll decide everything music-based, what music will be played during stages or whatever there is. Basically we have so much to choose from and so little space (unless Runouw is going to use external resources instead of internally built and is making us download the game instead of playing it trough a website, then we've got all the space we want).
So, here's the ultimate music suggestion. What should have the top priority for each stage? What fanfare or loop jingle do we decide upon? What gets played during character selection, or in the menu?
Here's a list that has been so far confirmed, in order of importance (when applicable):
General
Stage Specific
Each stage will have at least three essential songs. The other songs may or may not be implemented, based on how music is handled. Each song is displayed in order of priority.
Victory
Fanfares
The fanfare is the part that plays once after battle when somebody has won. Each franchise gets its own fanfare, where each character within said franchise sharing the fanfare. The only exception to this rule is Meta-Knight.
[Joy Mech Fight]
[Golden Sun]
[Punch-Out]
Loop Jingles
The loop jingle is the loop that displays during the result screen, and is determined by the person who scored the highest. Each character gets his or her own jingle.
[Super Mario - Peach]
[Super Mario - Bowser]
[Wario - Wario]
[Star Fox - Fox]
[Metroid - Samus]
[Metroid - Ridley]

Should we use the Geno's forest maze music that was supposed to in Brawl or a different version of it? It's right here, btw.

I like Geno's loop being the forest maze. Gary, did you get my list of suggestions fro mthe other topic? Should I try to get the clips for you to check out?

I think that we could use like, three songs per stage. Having a lot of them would demand a lot of musical work (unless you get some original tracks, then I'm fine with it).

We can kinda get around that by doing what Brawl did: add in songs that weren't made specifically for Brawl. That way, we can have more around what Brawl had for music selection, without piling too much work on our composers.
Yeah, exactly. By original work, I meant 'songs that were taken off directly from the older games'.
But... I think that this game should have ORIGINAL tracks (Tracks composed 100% by us). SSB's soundtrack isn't completely remixes from other games.

If possible, I think the Ghastly King's theme from DK B would be cool for a DK level. Just a thought anyways.

I think each stage should have up to two or three new remixes/covers/versions of existing songs from that stage's series. Then, maybe you can insert some music rips.
As far as a completely original songs, those should be used for the SSB related things (new Master Hand theme, main theme, etc.). Also, if the project ends up having things that are specifically related to TSR, those parts can also have original songs.
Also, if players are going to have local copies of the game on their hard drives, as opposed to the game being on a remote server, maybe players can insert their own music files into the game folders and they'd be played locally.
Finally, here are some music suggestions:
Metroid:
Metroid II - Tunnel Theme (Reference)
Star Fox:
Star Fox 64 - Meteo (Reference)
Drill Dozer:
Drill Dozer - 3rd Gear (Reference)
Fire Emblem:
Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword (FE7) Medley
Unfortunately, I'm very little good with music at this point in time, so I can't really help in making any. Besides, even if I was any good, all I have is OrgMaker.

I did see the list of suggestions. I mostly need to hear the last three though, seeing as I don't really own any of the three.
Yoshi- YI2 Bonus game
Diddy- DKC2 Bonus
K.Rool- Kluba's Kiosk
Also, I've listened to Forest Maze, and in my humble opinion it sounds a bit too generic to be someone's theme.
I really do like Sploder's idea about inserting own songs, however, this isn't just something that can only be done with local copies. It is possible to connect to remote servers or even use songs on your hard drive, however, it does involve browsing to the folders.
But, with local copies, using simple XML files would be a real good idea. It would easen it up to create new content to be tested without actually having them to be inserted in the game's SWF file.

Sukapon, either:
Sukapon's Theme - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=davf_BDTosM (6:55), or
Menu - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvPCEWkbS6Q (0:22)
Wario: That insanely catchy menu theme from Wario World, which I can't seem to find anywhere on YouTube. So instead, have this decent rip from Kingdom Hearts Insider. http://downloads.khinsider.com/game-soun...paused.mp3

For Waluigi, I was thinking the tune from the Waluigi Pinball stage in Mario Kart DS could be utilized for his fanfare or loop. They remixed it in Brawl:

What do you think of this one:
[Metroid - Samus]
This one's mysterious, heroic and sweet at the same time. I love Samus. Did I just type it out loud?

That... was...
FUCKING AWESOME.
Does anybody agree here that we should use the original in this case? Perhaps ripped in a better quality or something, but this one's great!
I don't immediately recognize that song. When does it play? And do Samus and ZSS get different loops?
Hm,, i'm not sure how I feel about that one. It seems too... tender for Samus.

It's part of the Metroid theme song.
We do need to remember that the jingle loop shouldn't be too overwhelming. It's kind of like the desert, you don't want to be saturated with it, you already had your main course.
