Again, I was referring to the amount of geographical diversity.
Like a region with snow-capped mountains, volcanoes, islands, deserts, forests, and the like.

If theres gonna be a Radio Station implementation, I would very much like to be a battle-able DJ.
I know I'm thinking a little ahead, but I'm just saying.
Expect some drawings and such from me soon, as you are from Lemon.

I'm not entirely sure on what we'll do for the game's special device. Personally, I'd like to combine key elements from the previous devices.

you guys should decide this now:
do you want the fake pokemon to be official-looking(in terms of tradition, things/animals based on, and look) and official mechanics-wise?(stats, given effort points, typing)<---not saying all this should be implemented, this is how they decide who get's an evo and who doesn't.
or do you want to just make a pokemon out of whatever not caring about patterns or trends.
first will be harder, but it will have a more pokemon feel.
2nd is easier, but won't have that much of a pokemon feel if you don't pull of the pokemon right.

I definitely agree with that first choice.
EDIT: Also, the rival. I was thinking about this. The Rival should definitely be more like Gens 1 + 2 instead of 3 + 4. Sure, having a nicer character like Wally (or even Dawn and Lyre in DPPTHGSS). But The rival shouldn't be your friend. He should be this badass guy. In Gen one we had this huge douchebag who only even started his journey because he wanted to be better than you. He was always one step ahead of you and he rubbed that in your face. In gen 2 we had an actual villain who stole Pokemon and was all-around cruel and abusive. We need someone like this.

As for locations I'd like there to be a spooky haunted area. Not just one simple tower, but a place with dead trees, dark and stormy landscape.

I thought a humid, swampy ass jungle would be pretty cool. A plethora of snakes, primates, and etc

Would anyone find a palette all of the colours used in the HGSS NPC sprites useful? I'm currently about 1.4 through it.

Well it took me forever, but here's pretty much every colour used in overworld NPC sprites in HG/SS if anyone would find it useful.
Here's some doodles I did for the professor's clothes. Wasn't sure whether to keep it casual or have a more traditional affair, or what.
Would a tie be too small to fit into the sprite? It might look to cramper in an OW.

I like diversity, but when it comes to the cities and stuff...I think we should have only one or two really advance cities(like Celadon and Saffron, for example). Part of the charm of the first two Gens. were just how they were rather inviting places. I can't place my finger on exactly what the issue is, but I just loved exploring Kanto and Johto more than the others. Keep diversity, but the region should be like the first two. Perhaps even make the songs more reminiscent(if they get that far) of the older games. There are really only a few songs from the newer games that are actually memorable.
Also, let's have the HG/SS Pokecenter design. It is so much faster to just walk up the stairs rather than waiting for the escalator take you up and for an entirely different room to load.
EDIT:
Yes or no to this Youngster design?
I just took elements from previous designs I liked(slightly large shirt, blue hat, yellow shirt, the white strip).
