Most people.

You know the ones that lack common sense and due to that everything ever has to be dumbed down for them otherwise they'd lawsuit happy.

Also people who really dunno how to drive.

and people who bitch over the littlest things that are very much fixable but somehow aren't to them.

Like I went to Wendy's one time and there was this lady complaining infront of me. In Rhode Island a lot of people who work at any given Wendy's are latino of some sort. This is not meant to be rasict or anything but more or less a fact. Anyway I guess one of the guys taking the orders and handing the food to people had the sniffles or something and this lady infront of me was complaining "Uhg, what if he has Swineflu, this is gross why can't they fire him" loudly enough for everyone in the whole store to hear.

Now that kinda pissed me off so I said calmly to her "If you don't like it then why are you still waiting for your food? You can always ask for a refund and leave"

Then she starts bitching at me on how it isn't my business to get involved (even though she was basically yelling it) and then tells me that he probably has swine flu and kinda starts freaking out about that and when she stops talking again calmly I said this "I'm pretty sure if he had the swine flu he'd call out of work sick. No one really likes to work so why bother going to work if you have a really good reason to call out sick. He probably has allergies or the snuffles or something minor like that. There is no reason to be germaphobic over minor things like that, if you must get germaphboic over something like that then grab a bottle of Mr. Clean and clean down this whole place for us then. Nothing is ever 100% clean, please, get over it and stop acting like a child over it."

That promptly shut her up. Now keep in mind this woman was in her 50's at least.

When she grabbed her food and left the counter area many of the people in the back clapped and the guy said thank you to me. I felt like a mini hero that day Cute

So I had the hardest time sleeping last night, due to that Human Centipede trailer Woppet showed me. I could only imagine me waking up with my mouth surgically attached to someones asshole. I can only imagine how freaked out I'm going to be after seeing the whole movie.

i dislike when people say that an entire form or genre of something is bad or just generalize it in any way. like when people say animation is for kids or certain genres of movie are bad. it just pisses me off how closed minded people can be about stuff

edit: its especially bad when they say entire mediums are inferior, like saying comic books are bad by default or that books are always boring

Quote:I also dislike "feminists" who make it their job to make women un-sexy. Feminism is awesome(y'know equaling rights for women?), but if your telling my girlfriend she shouldn't wear cloths she asks me to pick out that are suppose to make me look at her and want her then get your dyke/jelous/bullshit/ out of fucking life. Cause your doing it wrong.

I dislike clueless privileged fucks feeling they need to erect ridiculous strawmen or mansplain things that they clearly know fuck all about.

I sincerely doubt that the feminists you talk about - if they even exist, that is - are actually trying to say "DON'T DRESS SEXILY", but the very fact that your girlfriend asked you to pick out clothes that would make you want her is a pretty significant alarm bell regarding women's sexual role; I'd imagine that any of these women who allegedly tried to talk to her about it were not in fact saying "DON'T DRESS SEXY OMG" but were instead asking her to assess her actions.

Women's sexual gratification or empowerment should be about the women themselves and not about how it pleases men. Everyone needs to understand this, but it's especially important for women, when we're essentially indoctrinated into believing this bullshit. The sexual role of women is often described as being exclusively about the gratification of a man - pick up a woman's magazine right now. How many sex advice columns deal with female orgasm, or masturbation, or any kind of gratification for women? Not many. It's mostly about how to please men - how to bring the man to orgasm, how to best give a blowjob... apart from having an alarmingly heterocentric view, it's also very sex-negative towards women.

That's not to say that a straight woman shouldn't want to please her boyfriend, but she should be just as aware of her own sexual needs, and at least acknowledge that the idea that she should dress provocatively to please a man is a symbol of male privilege.

I'm not saying can't do it, or that she shouldn't want to, but she needs to at least be aware of where that role comes from, and really, really think about whether she wants to do it because she wants to do it, or because it is an expected behaviour. These are behaviours that are very, very ingrained in modern society. The very existence of makeup attests to that.

I've tried to remain calm, but I have to point out that I'm close to tears because of how singularly angry that paragraph made me. Equating feminism to homosexuality to imply that both are wrong makes you an asshole, even ignoring the sexism.

are you serious? the same exact thing could be said on a mans part, and females always go over the top with these things, its not that hard to give a blowjob haha, it's not that hard to please a man.. honestly it isn't.. women dress the way they wanna dress because they want to look hot and they want to get guys thats why they do it. its like you think guys dont want to please women or something..

Okay, what I think Djanjo's trying to say is that he just dislikes feminists who take it to far. I can understand that :E
Some women were telling my mom how sad they were for her that she was a stay at home mom and how she should fight for her rights as a woman, and my mom gave them the verbal bitchslap saying "Uhm, I want to be and I'm happy to be a stay at home mom"
I also dislike when women in the military want the rights of men in the military, yet they say they shouldn't be put in the draft...I say you want our rights you can sign up for the draft as well, cause I sure as hell don't want to fight in war yet I have to sign up.
and Before I get chewed out I've discussed this in class with a very feminist teacher who agrees wholeheartedly.
So yeah..I understand what your saying though Profanisaurus, I wish a lot of the women in school wouldn't dress the way they due just to please others.

my only issue with feminism at all is when feminists want female dominance rather than equality. it happens more as the exception than the rule but its still extremely hypocritical and idiotic when it does happen.

The days of S*C*U*M are long over. The idea of feminism being about women over men is an oft-used, but rarely substantiated strawman.

no I read all of your post, but I didn't see it coming off as a smart post at all. I don't think you clearly understand what your talking about yourself. just because you don't dress that way like "supposedly all the girls do" you think your opinion is greater. did you even read what i said? clearly not.. because its not a symbol of male privilege you tard, its there choice and they can dress provocatively whenever they want if they want.

Except there's literally nothing in my post to suggest that I think my way is better.

I said, twice, actually, that there's nothing wrong with women who want to dress in a traditionally provocative way, but they should understand that this comes from a social expectation that stems from male dominance.

I never said anything about "all other girls" or about the right or wrong thing to do, just that if you're behaving in a particular way, you should be aware of where those behaviours have come from. That, actually, has little to do with gender, but since Djanjo brought up his utterly pretend definition of feminism, I felt the need to defend real feminism.

The discussion has reminded em of somethign else I hate: the word feminism. Nothing wrong with feminism, it's a good thing, but the word itself drives me insane. Wink
