watching characters from other things get hurt also qualifies as a "parody"

Hmm it's getting more and more apparent I'm bad at sharing things on the internet.

i hope you understand that i'm not out for blood djanjo you just happened to be the one to post something like this after i've been noticing a lot of things that are bad in a similar way and this is the only instance where i can post about it!! (because it's on a forum)

Look I don't care if you don't find it amusing. I did, so I shared it. It seems everything I seem to find mildly entertaining are frowned upon here. So I'll make it a point to only share things of high caliber(whatever that means, especially in comedy). Since you seem to be so cut from such a high cloth.

because seriously it's pretty easy to understand

Nothing about that video was especially specific to what they were actually parodying
the jokes were basically: AND THEN THEY HAD SEX. ALSO VIOLENCE. ALSO EMOS ARE LAAAAAAAAAME.

Which, well, you could apply to pretty much any two films ever. It's not parody so much as using the True Blood and Twilight franchises as some kind of... reference humour? It's not funny because it's actually pointing out much that was ridiculous or extending anything from the series, it's just "Hey: have you seen True Blood? HAHAHAHA what a show!"
It's the difference between Mars Attacks, or Robin Hood: Men in Tights (which are fun and anything but highbrow) and say... Epic Movie.
The first two are actually parody, the other is just a series of vaguely related references that culminate in DURR VIOLENCE or DURR FUCKING

Spaceballs, History of the World, Blazing Saddles, really anything by Mel Brooks is the classic example of a parody done right.
