Ok, lets say we need Gooey 100% done in less than 2 weeks? Is that possible?
(Gooey should be the easiest to finish because the sprite sheet is already complete, we just need to re-size it and give it the new style)
It should be pretty simple to do.

If the spriters don't slack.
Keep in mind, if this actually reaches completion, and Runouw makes sure to promote the site heavily in the game, it could be HUGE publicity for tSR. His previous game, Super Mario 63, already has 2,000,000+ views on Newgrounds. I'd imagine this one would become much more popular.
I really do hope that everyone's competent enough to finish this job.

Ive been bogged down with everything seemingly happening at once, so I might be able to do some work after school, but Ill be on holiday for a couple of weeks after this (some of you might want to count your blessings), so I wont be able to have any input for a while
Yeah, it's been rough with school starting for everyone.

Yeah you're right, that's why we made it simpler for us to finish up on.

i want to help with this, as i want to make a 2d game that mimics brawl too. All i got is Paint so expect whatever comes from me to look like a gameboy game's sprite set, but i'm pretty good with it. tell me what needs to be done at [email protected], and i'll work on it.
Paint is all you need, really.
Anyway, none of this is being done through email; rather, we work on the sprites, post them here, and let others give their opinions on how good they look. Oftentimes, we'll go in and edit it, if it doesn't look right, or we'll give pointers on things to fix.
The project is open to anyone, so feel free to post some sprites in the relevant topics (though preferably only for characters whose topics have that little asterisk on them (*)). However, we have a bit of quality control, so if it's not up to standard, we'll definitely be giving you some critiques on how to fix it.
Before you do so, I'd like to remind you to read the forum rules, if you haven't already (since that was your first post, I'm assuming you're completely new here). Another good read for this project would be the pinned threads in this section (Smash Bros. Project).

Hey, do you think that since Gooey is almost 100% complete that we can start working on another character?
I have a feeling that we should finish something easy like Sandbag next. Right? Sandbag should be easy because he doesn't need any attacks! (It would also make the character designer that much easier to program/use when you have an opponent to try out attacks on)

He's not on the list at the moment, but I do think Sandbag would be an ideal character to get out there. Especially for the sake of testing purposes.

Sandbag isn't on the list as a playable character, but that shouldn't stop us from making it

This is... clearly explained. In the name and the body of the topic.
It's the priority of what work needs to be done for this project.
