Ah nice to see Fox, I have to admit I always preferred his melee look in comparison to his brawl appearance. I'm amazed at how much less detailed Giga Bowser was in this game. I guess after being able to see him up close real often in Brawl with his touched up model it's just not as impressive. But I still remember how epic I thought he was when I played Melee. Heck I remember wanting to get a gameshark just so I could play as him!

Giga Bowser is in SSBM? is he an unused model or something? oh well this will be great, since i could'nt get his brawl version to work this one should work great in MMD. i know alot of Anthro fans who will be wanting a Star Fox model so they can make their own Star Fox fan charecters.

Giga Bowser was only in Event 51 which you got from beating all of the other events and adventure after normal bowser if you beat it fast enough on normal or higher without continuing. Really epic fight though. In Adventure I think it takes around 400% before you can really KO him normally and that's on normal.

You may want to try harder difficulties at some point valfor, its more challenging.
I actually meant to just get Game&Watch, but his textures never seem to rip so I decided to put him on hold for now and rip a textureless version of him at some point. I figured I may as well get the stage so I ripped this. It looks simple, but there's a few mirroring issues and just distorted UV's (As in rotated diagonally and skewed) for some reason. The distorted UV's are normal for SSBM and the main reason I don't want to do too many stage rips from this game, but since this was a fairly simple stage I figured why not.

I was right!
gigabowser's melee version works Perfect with converting, I did it at work and it came out perfect in 5 seconds. Fox came out great too, so far the only thing i've had trouble with is the KH:BBS models but i'll just ahve to find a better conversion recipie for it. the texture just did'nt show up in blender. i'll keep trying.
whats next of the Melee model mayhem list? Pichu? Pikachu? how are you going to rip Poke Floats? idividual pokemon models? or a stage?

It probably wouldn't for BBS models, the texture assignments weren't done correctly unfortunately, but they aren't too hard to assign yourself.
Dunno what I'll rip next really. Probably another character, but we'll see.

There's tutorials all over the place for Blender. If you want to learn it, it shouldn't be too hard. Hell, everyone besides me here seems to know it so you could probably post a thread here and people could help you with it if you needed it.

well it's good to know i'm in capable hands.
The Dreamland stage worked great....except for the fact that the bacground only covers the back of the model, I had to improvise by some MMD trickery but it should work good, It's a shame stages did'nt come with Skydomes.

In most stages they do just not the one's I've ripped for SSBM. Take a look at some of the SSBB stages and you'll see that.

Oh I know about the ones for Brawl, the pokemon stadium was a little tricky to get right. and SUper Mario galexy half way skydome was a pain as it was only half a sky, so I doubled it over to make a full skysphere to make a backdrop for the Arwing model. skydomes have to be the greatest invention of video game model makeing.

So I think the problem with the Melee stages is that the sky box doesn't seem to rip for whatever reason. No idea why, but I couldn't get it to show up with the rest of the rip. Still, most of them have simple textures if any so I wouldn't call it that big of a deal.
Anyways, I ripped these:
Fountain of Dreams will probably need to be messed with a bit for it to look right since originally it rendered a sort of reflection on the floor. You could probably fix that pretty easy by making a cubemap and putting that on there instead, but as it is now it won't look too great. A few of the gray looking textures are also mean to be colored too, but since they were colored ingame they're something you'll have to fix manually.

is'nt Kirby's model the same one he uses in Brawl? i hear it's the exact same model, dose'nt this mean you could put this in the brawl section as well? like killing 2 stones with one bird.

No I'm pretty sure its not the exact same model though they look very, very similar and I believe they use the same exact design. If I recall the biggest difference is that Kirby uses more polygons in his Brawl variant so that he looks rounder than his Melee counterpart and that his colors are more washed out. Still, the Brawl model could be ripped rigged which automatically beats out a regular model like this.
Besides, considering how much effort would likely go into rigging his mouth correctly, I for one would rather avoid that trouble if possible as I'm sure many people would.
