I wasn't trying to insult you, no one in this thread was. I wanted to make sure you didn't overlook something. Even professionals overlook things from time to time. So please don't get an attitude.

If you really want sound and have no possible way to repair your operating system, then go for it. But you are running the risk of making things worse. I don't think it's a very high risk, but if it's all you have left in terms of a functioning computer, is sound worth it?

I know but I think that I would have thought to do that after you know, being trapped in safemode for months. Ussually if people have months to figure things out they don't overlook much.

The worse that could happen is that my computer dies and I use my mom's computer which is from 2005 and is basically Tyvon's netbook but 80 times slower. Meaning it takes a half hour to warn someone here once and can't have any other programs up.
