Rather than waste anymore space in the Reworkshop Thread, made a thread to dump in whatever I'm working on.
Samus to start things off:

i love this idea, but the proportions aren't quite that and i think the sprite could be more readable.

Chris I think it's because he's trying to fit a super metroid style samus in the size of a metroid sprite. I think samus in ball form looks awkward and could use some work.
Oh, ps toes, your avatar freaks me out.

i would actually like to point out it's more like the sa-x than super metroid samus. besides, that's not an excuse for "fitting" the style: readability nor proportions were an issue in super metroid or metroid fusion sprites. tia
looking forward to more, headcrab!

I never said it was, just sayin. I would like to see more metroid themed sprites around here though.

It seems pretty readable to me.

i had problems distinguishing the hand from the chest, and the arm from the head: these elements kind of melt and lose themselves into each other.
here's an edit to try to improve readability:

The outline is so thick and dark that I don't know how well is this sprite going to work against Metroid's usually dark backgrounds.

Couldn't help but notice that the light source on Samus's ball form shifts with each frame.
The lack of outline is a bit annoying as well, but that could be just me.

That's how the ball is in Fusion, regardless the ones posted are outdated by now
