Good joke.
idk, i don't think that idea is totally dumbfounded
I mean lets see, what are the most recent big Nintendo releases? There's DKCR, which had super guide, there's Epic Yarn, which from what I understand is so easy a super guide would be overkill. Then there's the 3DS, which hasn't had any real big Nintendo releases until now with OoT, which has a hint feature, which isn't totally super guide but has the same principle. The feature hasn't been used much because there haven't really been that many Nintendo games released recently. (im probably leaving out a few, but i think that covers the main first party nintendo games)
it's all speculation anyway, i don't think we're gonna legit argue this is 100% going to happen, it's just a possibility; something interesting to consider in discussion, not the truth we are trying to impose upon everyone

uh ok.

Okay.

Good joke.
these two posts pretty much state the same thing. you added the small bit about "remake" and changed "okay" into "good joke"

i don't think you understand how possibility works

i don't think you understand how possibility works I'm really glad you're directly challenging my intellect because you don't agree with me.
Whatever.

i'm not challenging your intellect, actually. im challenging your understanding or grasp of a concept and how it relates: this does not necessarily imply intelligence so much as it does knowledge and, in turn, experience. and in any case, it doesn't matter if i agree on the overarching point or not; an incorrect or """""dumb"""""" statement is still wrong or """"""""dumb""""""" regardless of who says it or what the context of that statement is. and i'm using that word (dumb) very, very loosely, here.
stop being so defensive, man.

Like I said before "accessibility" = revenue. It's the same reason why motion control gimmicks became so popular essentially overnight.

Apparently L.A. Noire had a similar feature in letting you skip action sequences and auto-driving. Similar recent Super-Guide-esque ideas include Machinarium's inbuilt walkthrough/hint system and Deus Ex 3's highlighting of objects in an ugly yellow outline. You'll probably see more as time goes on. It'll spread faster due to Nintendo being the trend-setter again these days.

the general idea has actually been a prominent trend for quite a while; the super guide is just its most recent and most excessive implementation.

A lot of you are being pathetic pieces of shit in this thread.
Just saying.
BACK ON FUCKING TOPIC and attempting to take arms against this sea of bullshit:
Any of you dudes seen the OoT trailer on the eShop?
Because it looks purdy. And nothing like as bright as the screenshots and video released thus far.
I'm downloading the update now.
I'll edit this post when it's done.
Free excite bike aww yeah
EDIT:
Just watched it.
Damn, i feel like anyone who said anything bad about the graphics are going to take it back after they see this.
EDIT EDIT:
incase anyone is interested. The UK version of the Nintendo magazine has a OOT3D review.
I just read that apparently when aiming the bow/hookshot etc in first person you can move the 3ds around to aim like in Face Raiders.
You can disable it in the options if you wish though and aim with the analog stick.

oh my god I would love this feature
I would definitely use it over the analog stick any day because that just sounds incredibly fun.

I actually had a bit of trouble with the 3d in the OoT trailer, I had to move the DS further away than I usually hold it and I seemed to have some trouble staying focused on it
but that might just be because I really, *really* need new glasses x:
