Twilightzoney, I have a thing that i want to ask you. It is possible to rip SA2 Trial Sonic model? Im not saying to you do that, just asking if it's possible.

Any news on the Sonic Unleashed 360/ps3 (*.model) Converter?

I poped open the Generations Demo today and everything is the same formats in the 360 version!

I think I've mentioned this before but while I'm 99% sure its out there, its not something that's been released to the public. I'm hoping for a release at some point, but I can't say I expect it.

I saw some Stuff on Sonic Retro about the Maxscript floating around if anyone has it i'd like to mess around with it probably submit the badniks

Most of them are broken when you import them. UV Maps all out of whack and whatnot. Classic models are the same way.

(In regards to keeping the script private, that means the models are supposed to remain private too.)

Well to be Truly honest i want the model for my own Selfish needs

If the Eggrobo Model can be riped atlest i'd be happy and shut up about it if it was PM'ed to me >:

I dont care about Bone's but uv's whould be nice I saw knuckles came out allright

All Modern models come out perfectly fine. The GUN Bots come out fine too. The rest of the models, give or take a few, come out with broken UV Maps, broken weights, but the vertex data it fine.


In regards to Sonic 06's converter, it's crappy anyway. The model format wasn't hard to crack either, I did it in about a day. The thing was Link wanted the converter to only be given to certain individuals when it was made. He stopped caring about it in 2009-2010-ish. Nobody knows whether he wants the .model importer to remain that way or not. He's kind of left the scene, and a friend and I are currently trying to contact him to see what he wants. Since he aided in its making, he's allowed to do what he wants with it. That same friend and I are currently trying to fix it with me cracking the format since there are no specs out and about to my knowledge.
I post stuff randomly. I hope you people like what gets posted.

Well if you do find out his intentions, it'd be great to hear about it. If he's cool with the models being spread around it'd be great to get them up on the site. Otherwise, it'd be good to know so that we could respect his wishes.

So the "Nextconvert.exe" that pops out a Maxscipt was broken? Normal Charaters and Levels poped out fine Most of the Human Charaters broke tho'
I was using Max9 32-bit

can it be modded to work with ENO for free riders? that or i can jsut wait for the Generations one to work so i can g'nab Metal Sonic when its out fully!

Never said it was broken. I said it was crappy, and it really is. The model format was never flushed through when that thing was made even though it could have been. Rigs and animations could have been exportable then. In the spec I wrote up in like...two days, already knows where to find such data cause it wasn't hard to find.

And involving that script I mentioned earlier. It's in a better state now. There's still some issues, going through Generations and Unleashed files to fix those little tidbits.
