It's a boss, apparently? What the hell does it do? Sit there? How does it idle, attack, or even die? This is useless. Add some animations to it or something, because right it's like I said, useless. To behonest I wouldn't even want to claim credit on it.

That's how they've always acted. However, I'll take your criticism into account, add some cracked death sprites, and make it spin hopefully. I would like some feedback on what I've got currently, though.

Okay now for some criticism stuff.. First thing, why is it scaled to 2x its actual size? What is going on with its top? It looks like pseudo flames (I don't think a freezie looks like that). Then you should get rid of those lines between the planes (I guess you could also get rid of the outline altogether). Make it look more like they are the planes of a crystal-like structure; right now it looks like a bunch of flat stones formed into a mishappen mosaik. And then the mouth should be more like some tildes ~~~ than some sharp angles ^^. Furthermore, move the face lower. Er, that's all that comes to my mind at the moment, gotta move on! As for the 2x thing, I'm used to doing stuff in 2x2 pixels. I could resize it, but it wouldn't be giant. I guess I could take the time to convert everything to 1x1 pixels. I'm not sure exactly what to do with the "planes", so I'll leave them for now. And I agree the mouth should be more like that. I may move the face a bit lower, but IMO it looks fine and isn't that big of a deal. K this is going to go through a major update with fixed things and more frames. I'm determined to make my first sprites posted here the best they can be.

You do realize that in a game or mockup or pixel art or whatever everything should have the same pixel size and thus, it wouldn't matter whether you have it on that image in double size? Since when you have 2x pixels on your freezie, you would have 2x pixels on your Mario, too, so the relative size wouldn't change at all. Unless you have freezie at 2x and Mario at 1x, but that'd be stupid. Thanked by: Link

so its suposed to be this? well, i'm pretty sure that previous refers to each one of the surfaces created on the object by saying "planes". you're better using some careful blocks of colors of diferent brightness rather than using such an useless outline all over it. Thanked by: Previous

you do not understand how to shade, yet alone how to shade ice (or any transparent object for that matter). Check out the pinned sprite discussion to have, at least, an idea of what you should and shouldn't do.
