I don't know, since lttp seems to be in the same timeline as wind waker which ganon exists in. I think it does explain ganondorfs absence though.


Also that bug is crazy. I'm glad I did the Thunder Dragon quest last.

Hold up the curse only explains the creation of ganon (or rather the entity that would become ganon).
Ganondorf's origin is completely separate. It is very possible that his involvement with demise was just a side effect of gaining the triforce of power.
He is still a character with his own complex reasoning for feeling the way he does (explained in wind waker), and probably would have attempted to rule hyrule with the curse existing or not.

Link on the other hand is pretty much a complete tool
