This has literally been around since Super Mario Kart
SMK was BY FAR THE WORST because Nintendo didn't know how to properly code in CPU usage of items, so they gave every character their own signature item. Including Mario and Luigi's FREE INVINCIBILITY

yes i'm that pro that i actually played Lightning Cup 150cc first, then finished the rest of the game. I held off on doing the Banana Cup because who gives a shit about the honey queen lol


And IDK if it's just me, but when I unlock characters, you know how that blue circle fades away on the bottom screen and the game shows off the character?
My game somehow keeps locking up after that - like there's no freezeup, there's just no way to progress. I have to reset the game and start where I was to continue on. Does this happen to anyone else?

Second to the original, I always thought that DS had the most egregious rubber-band AI, which apparently isn't popular opinion. But there's no way Yoshi should be able to shoot past me when his max speed is about 2 full mph less than my character's, and I'm running at top speed. I never saw a problem with Double-Dash's AI (seeing as I drive the Toad Kart, don't snake excessively, and can still hold my own in first), or Wii's (besides their sadistic item timing).

It kind of surprises me that they wouldn't have made the AI more like Mario Kart Wii's, seeing as they've apparently got coding item usage down. Maybe it's to make up for the added help of the double screen.

If I buy this you guys aren't going to stop playing in like a week are you?

To be fair, I got this game on launch, and I'm still playing it pretty regularly almost two weeks afterwards. It takes a while to unlock all of the kart parts with coins. Not to mention getting 3 stars on 150cc/Mirror Star & Special Cups is really cumbersome for whatever reason.

I'm also waiting to get this for Xmas.

Yeah, I'm getting it then too. We'll hold some sort of tournament after the holidays if you all want.

Got this for Christmas. Kinda pissed that we have to unlock Wario this time around for some reason, but oh well. Is there a community set up that I can join? I don't feel like looking through all the pages.
