Here is a fixed VRML capture of Mario from Super Mario 64, in the default pose supplied through Dudaw's debug positioner code.
The larger preview image links to the model download.
Original model by Nintendo.
Model ported with assistance from MarioKart64n.
All textures should be both clamped and have tiling disabled in order to render correctly.
Also included within the "*/Textures" directory of this archive are unmodified textures related to the model, and a colour chart with a reference.

I'm still new to this, but why does he look so blocky here?

His vertexes aren't welded which essentially means that all of the faces/planes that make up Mario have to be smoothed separately. Since they aren't smoothed as a whole, you can pick out each plane with ease when you look at it.
I'd kinda prefer if it was fixed, but its easy to correct and very useful as is.

You're right, it was easy to correct. So it has, and has been reuploaded with updated preview and thumbnail images.

I've updated the model upload of Mario to include improved materials and Mario's hair model. The update is available from the OP.

Nice. I'm really glad you made those edited textures, as the original textures would be a pain to deal with. The sheet has been updated.

I've updated the preview and thumbnail image again to show a more uniform angle.
Because I've got OCD.

I've also updated the model upload of Mario to include properly unified normals.
Download.

It's because SM64 is blocky. Nothing more, nothing less. I would know, the title screen is my screensaver.

Actually, he had made that comment before I had properly fixed his normals, which made him look more blocky than he should.

Plan on ripping an more models from this game? There a few enemies and bosses that would be great to have on the site.

I'm not sure. I would prefer to only upload unposed models to the site, but perhaps Dudaw's debug positioner code nulls out the animations of other models when they are switched over Mario's.
In any case, I have a much larger model conversion project going right now.
