I'll try to re-enforce Vipershark's point with an edit, if you don't mind.

On the far left is your original pallete. The middle has had moderate hue-shifting and contrast changes, making It appear
more vivid, although one would argue that the contrast between shades is still too close, causing color bleeding.

The far right edit has been desaturated, hue-shifted, and adjustments to contrast have been made. The sprite now appears
to be a bit duller, but is a bit more readable as a result.

I'm not an expert on pallete and color theory, I'm learning like everyone else, as is evidenced by my edits in this very post.
In fact, I'm certain that the point I've tried to make could be better illustrated by many others on this forum, but at least you
are receiving real critique. If you everyone everyone one to say "oh wow, those are great sprites, good job! These are perfect
the way they are," perhaps you haven't been hanging around here as often as your post count and join date would suggest.

Beeeeeeh, now that you've double scaled that sprite, I need to redo it.

Anyway, here's the thing. I want red to look red. I need to change Mona's palette for that, seeing as she's still a bit purplish, but the red needs to be actual red. I don't want to make it look all Super Smash Bros., where [url=http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RealIsBrown]Real Is Brown[/b]. Like in animation and comics, I want to make the colors as vivid as possible. It's a huge contrast with game sprites, which mostly don't pop out as much.

The main criticism I had about the C+C here was that it was mostly based on the fact that I used Zero / ZX style, which is pretty much bullshit. And if it really bothered many of you guys here, you should have given me some help back when I was open for suggestions on a new spriting style. The color thing I am working on more, as, well, Samus just looks like shit. I need to redo her face, I wasn't really a fan of it. Perhaps you guys think it's fine, but back when I made the sprite I didn't like it. But aside from that, I always struggled with her armor, as it wasn't as shiny as I wanted it to be. I mean it used to be shiny, but then a disk whipe or a crash or something set me back on that development (I had to redo the sprite from scratch, which, ironically, was the only sprite I had to do from scratch, seeing as all the rest was already magically backed up on another backup disk. Fuck my life).

Luckily you made the process of redoing the colors of Samus a little bit easier. I might need to go back and change the colors of the bike also (at least if I want to use the bike again). The only thing I'm not fond of is the redness on her armor. I originally had the very same color as the middle one, but then I figured out it was too purplish, while her armor had a definite redness, or at least in the Real Is Brown games it was brownish, but those can be easily fixed. I'll try to whip up a new version of that armor (palette wise).

Anyway, here's some tests I ran with Mona. The main focus is on the dress, but I also did a test for the skin color using the MvC version of the Juggernaut. Not a good idea.

Finally, I most likely took most colors from other games. Because I can. And because I'm Batman.

I agree that I'm not a fan of these new desaturated sprites with tight pants on needle legs.

But I still want to see you do your best with this. Keep trying, you can do a whole lot better, and it isn't as hard as you think.

We can't stop you from using Zero/ZX style, but we can't stop people from rolling their eyes over an overused boring style either. Your audience isn't going to care for it. I mean, not just us, pretty much anyone who's seen sprite things on the Internet in the last so-and-so years. Putting hard work into a style that everyone's sick of seeing is kind of backwards if you ask me

And we're not like
stalking you
so don't blame us for not following you around telling you not to use the style in the past. Not to mention we've learned since then too, anyway.

In any case, there's banding here and there that you ought to get rid of, like on the ends of the hair, and the hair also needs more contrast.

The leg shading seems off, which I would suggest looking into it. Also you got two of the second-darkest shades being similar to one-another, being the skin and the hair tone, you might need to fix that as it makes it hard to read in some areas of the sprite.
