Wh--
Wha---
WHA---!?
It's still a rumor so far, but if Splatterhouse had enough name recognition to earn a remake, LoK sure as FUCK does.

I've got a few worries, namely the fact that they're going for the Soul Reaver side of things over Blood Omen (which pisses me off a bit since I find Kain to be an infinitely more interesting character than Raziel), the fact that the franchise as a whole is now owned by one of my least-favorite publishers, and the word of a "new art direction."
Which is where my worries related to Nomura fire up.
Fuck it, where's my shotgun?

Has Little Samson even got a Virtual Console release yet? If not... why?!?

Obligatory post about Earthbound needing a remake and Nintendo getting all our money

I'm just glad some people got together and translated Mother 3. Easily one of my favourite RPGs ever. Hell I'm sure Nintendo could just use their translation and slap it on the 3DS store.
I think an Earthbound remake would be really hard to do. They'd have to change it up as older RPGs age quite badly. Though with such a strong fan base (myself included) we'd no doubt curse them for every change made.

Dude, Dragon Quest is still around, I'm pretty sure Japan would go crazy at a Mother 2 remake.

It's a pretty love-it-or-hate-it idea, but I really want a full Pokemon reboot.
Not what BW was, I mean a whole new Generation I with whole new Pokemon and no backwards compatibility.
Though I wouldn't mind occasional redesigns of the current set...

I think you'd be looking at a different series all together. There's no way Nintendo would cast off 400+ monsters into the abyss.
They could always do a spin-off or something though, perhaps as you know - a full console RPG release or something.
this reminds me of a dream I had. I was playing some Pokémon game in DS, and it had a more serious, pos-apocaliptic futuristic setting and stuff, end every NPC had their story and all; also the game was certainly not kid-oriented since it involved people and pokemon dying.
I told this to Mutsukki but he completely rejected the idea. I'll see if I can do something with it in the future...

I had a really fucked up dream this week. I don't even want to get into it. The least fucked up thing in it was spray-on pants. Pants applied via an aerosol can.
Huh.
Dammit Gors, why are you talking about Dreams outside of the Dream thread! I just became incredibly disoriented! Shame on you!

that plot completely reminds me of Casshern Sins.
I really don't know why I'd dream about that, since I'm not into Pokémon at all, and even weirder because I've never heard of Casshern Sins either. Must be some crazy coincidence.
also I completely support a Earthbound remake
