Actually, With a few extra colors, Quote's official sprites could fit the style.

VB: FireBall

Except, y'know, the proportions (quote's proportions are due to the style of the game, as seen in the art), the outlines, the AA, the shading, and everything else that makes a sprite, yeah it could work.

Well, not if its edited. Then it would count as an edit.

Just go with the MVC colours and beef him up a bit.

You know, I actually think it would kinda neat for him to have the gun for his up b rather than the booster. It wouldn't do any damage to anybody he makes contact with, but anybody below him who gets shot would.
